For more than two decades, Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery has been a fixture in Chicago, creating wine and mead using locally produced ingredients. The meads produced at Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery are among the most sustainably produced beverages in the world. Every sip helps the world grow greener by supporting the honeybees. With more than 30 years of winemaking experience, Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery is the first winery in Chicago and the first meadery in Illinois. Being a mead producer, at Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery we raise our own bees and collect our own honey through out the Chicagoland area. We are located in Beverly Hills just off the 91st Beverly Hills Metra Station. Our backyard garden area is adjacent to the Major Taylor trail bike trail and the Dan Ryan Forest preserve making it a great place to sip mead. We off over 25 award winning meads as well as full bodied red wine and craft beer. Presently we off cheese trays to complement our meads and allow outside food the be brought in. We specialize in mead production. Mead is the oldest fermented beverages where both beer and wine came from. Mead is not only delicious, but is the most sustainable wine on Earth. Each bottles is made by the pollination of over 2 million flowers by honeybees. This pollination can produce 20 to 40 million new seeds that grows the Earth greener.
“I cannot say enough amazing things about this gem. Don’t let the location fool you - it’s an oasis once you step inside and the backyard patio is incredible and very peaceful. Meads deserve their own separate ode - all of them, and I truly mean all, are amazing and each is very unique but at the same time has cohesive and rounded taste.”
“This place is awesome!! Nice friendly staff, reasonable prices and wide variety wine selections to choose from. Please check them out!!”
“Amazing people good food and drinks!!! Celebrated my 40th birthday party here and the staff and cooks are beautiful people!! Thank you all for making my day special!!”
“We stayed in our RV on property as part of our Harvest Host membership. We each had a sampler where you can try up to 4 meads, which is made from honey. They have one that tastes like pino grigio (dry meade who knew), another that takes like apple pie (delicious), another like PB & J (yummy), they have spicy mead (very hot and delicious), etc. They were all delicious! Most of their meads are gluten and dairy free with the exception of the meads fermented in bourbon barrels. I would love to come back for a paint and sip party and other special events. They had candle making tonight. The outdoor seating in the back is a beautiful garden setting perfect for any occasion. This is an amazing find!”
“Although I visited the Meadery for an art show, I still had a pleasant experience. I love sweet wines and the waitress that assisted me was very helpful in suggesting that I get a flight so that I can taste more than one mead/wine, noting they come in 4 and 6, and explained which items are available to purchase in the flight. I chose the flight of 6 and was shocked that it came out to $20. We also ordered a small pizza. The chicken pizza was unavailable but the cheese pizza was very tasty! Definitely will return and hopefully get to go on another event night like the paint and sip.”
