“We went for a Father’s Day meal prior to a performance at the National Cathedral. There were few other patrons. Our cocktails prior to the meal and the meal itself were delicious, well presented, and fun to mix and match tapas. However, although the staff was pleasant, as the time passed and more patrons arrived our wait staff was very slow to respond to additional requests such as additional lemon slices, sodas as the meal progressed, and our desserts. The decor is interesting. I will say it is somewhat noisy.”
“THE MOST WELCOMING AND AMAZING ENVIRONMENT! The food is INCREDIBLE, drinks are outstanding, and the service makes you feel like family. Been a regular here for almost 2 years, and could not say enough fantastic things about this place. Duncan, the general manager, and Emily is FANTASTIC ❤️ COME HERE”
“We’ve been to Barcelona Wine Bar several times and it is consistently good, so we decided to take my mother there for Mother’s Day. The service was fast and everyone was very kind. Virginia was especially attentive, and we really appreciated that several staff members spoke Spanish. We ordered a variety of tapas and a bottle of cava. My favorite tapa there is the chickpea and spinach cazuela — so flavorful and comforting. The bread was also delicious. We even ordered extra bread before remembering that they already bring fresh house-made bread once you order! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with family and friends. One of my favorites in the area.”
“Loved the atmosphere—it was very nice. I had tapas and a paella de mariscos, both of which were well made and really good. The staff were very attentive, respectful, and provided excellent service. They made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely come back sometime in the future.”
“I went to this location for the first time for dinner with friends. I really like the ambience, but I can say I wasn’t very impressed with the food. Nothing wrong, just didnt really have anything to say, wow, this is delicious. We got there and waited at least 15 min to be assisted by our waitress. We waited at least more 15 min for the drinks to come to our table. Food actually started coming before the drinks. And when they finally got to us, they were low quality. I ordered a spicy marg with some extra sugar. I got what I called lemonade juice. We were basically forced to drink our drinks since no one came to our table to check on us and we were eating as well. When she finally came to our table we ordered a main dish and other drinks then I told her to ask bartender to make it a drink, not a juice, and add liquor. Then I told her the how our experience was going so far. She sent us one of the managers who made sure we were not paying for previous drinks and food would get to us quicker. My question is, do we really need to get to this point? It looks like the reputation of Barcelona being a place just to hang out and have drinks is real.”
