“Our recent visit to celebrate a birthday with our close-knit group of six friends was nothing short of exceptional. This ample, beautifully decorated space on Bayshore Blvd, provides a sophisticated atmosphere and a warm, inviting energy. The service was truly the standout of our evening. Cherokee, our main waitress, was incredible; her vivacious personality and expertise made the night so much fun, while her dedication to our table ensured we had everthing we needed. So, was our other server, Haylen, who served us with much kindness and commitment. The manager, Adrianna Lindsay, was equally impressive—exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive to every detail of our celebration. The food was a masterclass in Spanish flavors. The Branzino is a masterpiece, and every dish—from the Tortilla Española, Jamón and Manchego Croquettes, and Patatas Bravas, to the Beef Empanadas, Mussels, and the very generously portioned Parrallida—was executed to perfection. We were also treated to some extraordinary gestures from the house: a sampling of their Paella Salvaje (a Sunday afternoon specialty) and a delicious generous piece of their famous Olive Cake for the birthday guest and the entire group to share. Both birthday cakes, the olive cake and the chocolate cake we brought with us, were presented on serving boards where our waitress, Cherokee, surprised us by hand-inscribing with a coffee-flavored syrup birthday wishes and a playful compliment on how young the birthday boy looked for his 75 years. What a beautiful gesture!!! Combined with an excellent wine list and perfectly crafted cocktails, it was a flawless, unforgettable experience for our whole group. Thank you, Adrianna, Cherokee, Hayden and the entire team, for your generosity and for making this birthday so special. Barcelona Wine & Tapas Bar is a gem in Tampa!”

“Wow!! Such a beautiful place. From the time we walked in and the first sip of sangria it was the best service and food. I mean the olive oil pancakes, mussels, manchego croquetas and steak & eggs. Every single tapa that touched our table was soo delicious! I am literally still hyped about the patatas bravas with the garlic aioli sauce!!! The guava lavender lemon mimosa was soo yummy! This will definitely be a new favorite spot! The Gm and manager were both very pleasant and friendly!”

“5 stars! I stumbled upon this place because I didn't want to take an elevator to Maru the line was too long. I Was just one and done for a drink. Sam the bartender instantly made me feel welcomed. Her energy personifies this bar and is the reason I stayed and spent money. I had several drinks and I didnt want to leave. The aura and atmosphere of this place is amazing. Sam is amazing. Bri is amazing. I manage a hotel and I would send my guests to this place without hesitation. This is my new favorite spot. Sitting at a bar alone is hard but Sam made me feel welcomed and that means a lot! Thank you Sam for making my first experience a great one. This place is very fortunate to have you here!”

“Went for a birthday dinner and it was nice. I think the menu has a lot of unique options. The flan has a delicious caramel flavor and I loved the beef empanadas as well (seasoned well). The layered potato tapa with sauce was kind of plain. I think the meatballs should be served with a bread so that it’s not just the marinara sauce. The olive oil cake was okay (not really my cup of tea but I know it’s popular). The paella was good but I the seafood in it can be seasoned better because it just tasted sea-salty. As far as the drinks, I had one that was mixed with vodka, sangria, grapefruit, etc. and it was okay. Definitely a good option if you don’t want a strong-tasting drink. The service was good, the restaurant and bar looks nice, and I was treated very well. I would say the vibe is very chill. My friends and I dressed semi-casual. I got a “happy birthday” dessert and presentation with the olive oil cake and ice cream 🥰”

“Had mixed experiences here. Ate here a few months back and the food was good. Went back yesterday and it seemed like everything fell apart, we were a group of about 12 people. We ordered a combination of hot and cold tapas and large plates. The tapas came out well and they tasted good; the large plates took 55 minutes to come to the table. 30 minutes after tapas were served, so now we have people on our table who have finished their meals waiting on food to come out for those who hadn't got their meals. In the defense of the server, she did state that it takes 45 minutes to cook large plates. The chef came out to say that the chicken takes the longest to cook so it took long. After we reviewed our main plates, the accompaniments like salads and fries took another 10 minutes to come out after we started eating. So not a pleasant experience. My recommendation is not to order the large plates, unless the restaurant figures out a way to maybe streamline how they get the food out properly.”
