“My girlfriend and I came here for our Valentine’s Day date and were able to schedule an appointment day-of. Their store is very spatious and well kept, I really appreciated all the girls who were working here and went above and beyond to make sure all customers were attended to. When you arrive, you check in at the front where you are then seated at one of the tables. They have hangers for you to put your jackets on so that they don’t clog up the chairs in the middle. Your attendant will then explain your candle options then send you to the attendant at the Fragrance Bar. At the Fragrance Bar, they have all smells categorized by seasonal, Clean/Woody/Sweet/Floral. Once you have chosen your container and favorite fragrances, you return to your seat where you then are able to create your fragrance mix. The attendants fill your container with soy wax and then return it to you to fill with your chosen fragrance. During this time, you also choose your “toppings” for your candle which vary from different stones, dried flowers and glitter. It takes about an hour for the wax to settle, so we browsed around the mall / grabbed lunch then were able to return and pick up the candles we made. When you pick up, you are able to add your chosen toppings and go home. We had an amazing time and def recommend the travel from Chicago!”

“I’ve been wanting to come here for years, and my husband finally surprised me today with candle making! We were lucky to get in when it was virtually empty(just us and one larger group). The set up is phenomenal, I like that the bar for smaller groups is far enough away from the tables that seat larger groups so it still feels like a personal, intimate experience. The scent selection is fantastic! Not just your run of the mill scents. Every sent was unique and had multiple notes to it, it was so hard to choose which to mix for our candle. I’m so pleased, as I’m a candle lover and often seek out unique scents and I truly feel like I’ve not smelled anything like this one. It’s delicious and perfect for spring! With the candle we picked we got two free add-ins, which I thought was a really cute touch. I was also super impressed with the amount of different options there were to choose from to put your candle in. This is definitely something we can see ourselves doing at least once a season! Overall a definite splurge, but worth it for fun and unique quality time together!”

“It was fun; however, they nickel-and-dime you for everything. The girl who helped us was great, and we had no issues with her. Our problems were with management and their disorganized, and frankly scammy policies. There were nine of us, and the event planner told me that, to avoid the party fee, I should book two separate reservations, which I did. We expected to pay $55 each. When it was time to check out, we were told the event planner had given us incorrect information and that we still had to pay the 22% gratuity because we were all seated at the same table. That was exactly what we were trying to avoid by booking separately. Management refused to honor the mistake they made, so instead of paying the expected $55 per person, we were charged $79.95 each. A few people in our group had also bought Groupons to save money, which turned into another fiasco. Over an hour after we left, they called to say those who used Groupon had been undercharged and owed another $22 due to tax. It was unprofessional and frustrating, especially since this was another mistake on their end after we thought everything had already been settled. What kind of business calls back and tells someone they need to pay more because of again, a mistake that *they* made? I’m sorry, but nothing we did was worth $80 per person. Overall, it felt like a huge ripoff, and I would not go back.”
