Sketchbook Brewing Co.'s Skokie location, established in 2020, serves as both a vibrant community taproom and the brewery's primary production facility. Situated at 4901 Main Street, this expansive venue features a 4,000-square-foot interior with 25-foot ceilings and a huge BierGarden, offering a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. The taproom boasts a diverse selection of over a dozen beers on tap, including Pilsners, Lagers, IPAs, Ales, Belgians, Stouts, Fruited Sours, Seltzers, and barrel-aged varieties. Additionally, gluten-free cider and nonalcoholic offerings are available, catering to a wide range of preferences.
“A great community brewery, a weekly favorite for us. Great family atmosphere. Dog friendly. Accessible by the Sauganash Valley Line/Skokie Valley Trail. Music on Sunday afternoon 2-6 and food trucks on Saturdays and Sundays.”

Ruthie, our bartender, was incredibly kind and attentive, setting aside my favorite beer, letting us choose our tables ahead of time, and making sure everything ran smoothly. Ruth also bartended for us that day and was just as wonderful. This is a perfect spot for a gathering — they genuinely care about their guests, the space is free to rent, and it’s close to Ignite Gaming Lounge, which made the night even more fun. “Great selection of craft beers in a large setting with big and small tables inside and in a beautiful outdoor yard. A bit noisy when the train goes by, but the beer and atmosphere makes up for it. Inside is a separate window for coffee orders. Certainly a great addition for Skokie. No wine or hard spirits.”
