At Brentwood Social House we serve a 3-tiered stand of crafted sweet and savory items, in keeping with the traditional English Afternoon Tea. Ours is a casual, cozy Afternoon Tea with mismatched vintage china pieces set in a quaint coffee house. The menu includes tea sandwiches, scones, sweet treats, and a pot of tea for each person. Located in the Brentwood neighborhood in Austin, Texas, Brentwood Social House is a woman-owned community cafe that seeks to connect, commune, and nourish. We fulfill our mission by serving superb coffee and teas, house-made European baked goods, and savory meals to those seeking a quiet spot for meetings, a relaxing cup of coffee with a friend, or fun neighborhood events in a family-friendly, welcoming gathering space.
“Very relaxing outdoor seating area with pirate ship playscape for the kids. Baristas were very sweet and hospitable. Will come back to check out the indoor play area. 🤎”
“It was my first time trying Brentwood Social House and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was sweet and helpful, they patiently went over the menu with us and answered any questions we had. They even gave some stickers to my kids (they were on their best behavior). We had croissants and coffee along with a quiche and all of it was delicious and hit the spot. We really appreciated the self serve items left out for guests, the live music is a nice touch as well. Overall I'm happy to have found our new go-to spot in this little neighborhood and that we can support a small business ❤️.”
“We did the afternoon tea service. It was very well done - service was fantastic, food and tea were great. The room where they do high tea is very loud so ambiance is not the best but was still a fun experience that I would recommend.”
“Went to Brentwood Social House for a friend’s birthday and tried their afternoon tea experience ($50 per person). We had a big group, and they did a great job accommodating us. The setup was super cute—pretty tea cups and pots that really added to the vibe. I had Earl Grey, which came with milk and honey or syrup options. The tea itself was simple but nice, and it just felt good to sip tea and hang out with friends. The real star was the snack tower. Each person got two pieces of cucumber sandwich, goat cheese with fig jam sandwich, and chicken salad sandwich—all super tasty and well-balanced. Then there was a second tier with marmalade brownies, tea cookies, and mini cupcakes, which were all sweet and delicious. The top tier had raisin biscuits with whipped butter and jam—classic and comforting.Honestly, it was way more food than we expected. Everyone ended up taking leftovers home in boxes. The whole experience felt fun, cozy, and a little fancy in a casual way. Definitely a unique and enjoyable way to celebrate something special with friends. Would totally recommend it if you're looking for something a bit different.”
“Good coffee and tart. They have a lot of pastries too. There are plenty of rooms and seats. On a weekday it's pretty quiet and not a lot of people, so it's perfect for working or reading.”
