“This place is a true gem. It has a unique focus (glass art) but I have attended shows here focused on other mediums as well, such as painting. While it generally requires an appointment to attend, it is not difficult to set up and the space is small and intimate enough that it makes sense to limit attendance in this way. They also make visible effort for community outreach like being open on Friday nights and having special events. Mr. Cafesjian founded an ambitious museum celebrating glass in Armenia and we are lucky to have a little accessible taste of that vision here in the Cities!”

“Incredible exhibition of mixed-media, blown glass, and cast resin. I attended a Friday evening presentation by Assistant Curator of Glass Linnea Seidling. It was so interesting to hear what other attendees "saw" in the art. Beautiful museum, friendly staff, and gorgeous art.”

“CAT is a true hidden gem just a few miles from Minneapolis and perfect for an afternoon excursion. I visited yesterday after hearing about it on TikTok. I’ve been dying to go, but the hours are limited, so it’s been tricky to go at the right time. It was 90 degrees yesterday, and I was craving art and AC. CAT was the perfect afternoon treat. I took myself on a solo date here, and I spent about 30 minutes thoroughly enjoying each sumptuous piece in the small, well-curated gallery room. The museum is small and can be enjoyed in under an hour. There’s a beautiful side room with a Chihuly glass ceiling that took my breath away. The way the light reflected on the walls and floor was awe-inspiring. The patio is also not to be missed. There were some incredible pieces, including a complex wind-powered glass mobile. It was my favorite piece in the whole place. Just stunning. And to top it off- the museum is free! It was so calm and not too crowded. More people should know about this wonderful place. I’ll be back soon!”

“Very nice, albeit small, new museum in Shoreview. Be sure to check the website for tour times! They're open to the public on a very limited basis. It was quiet when we were there, so they let us wander in on our own. The history behind this museum and the Como zoo carousel is fascinating!”
