“Drove past this Oliver's a hundred times and thought it was a small bistro type place. Went for brunch and was surprised. Spacious but comfortable interior with booths, high tables, bar seating, outdoor seating and counter seating if you're dining by yourself. Professional staff. Menu was impressive and well thought out. Bruch was hot melted caramel roll, fresh fruit, breakfast sausage, bacon and potatoes ag ratan. (I probably forgot some items) The staff encouraged us to ask for seconds. Then came the entree of your choice. Lastly were large dessert candies. We were given a take-out box for what we couldn't finish. Plenty of well-lit parking in back.”
“Oliver’s in Shoreview was the perfect meet-up spot for our family ahead of a wedding. We were looking for somewhere comfortable, welcoming, and easy for everyone to gather, and Oliver’s checked all the boxes. We ordered appetizers only because we wanted a good “base” before the rest of the wedding festivities, and honestly, everything we had was great. The sliders were delicious and exactly the kind of shareable bite you hope for when ordering apps with a group. The corn dip is always a must for me. It is one of those menu items that you do not skip. The chips are thin, but somehow still sturdy enough to get a really good scoop without the tragic chip snap halfway through. Important appetizer engineering, and Oliver’s nailed it. We also had the pepperoni pizza, and it was really good. The crust was done to perfection, with just the right texture and bite. I personally prefer the bigger, flatter pepperoni style, but even with the smaller pepperoni, it was still a great pizza and one I would absolutely order again. The cheese curds were another standout. They look different than what you see at most places, and that is because they are different. They have their own thing going on, and it really works. They were flavorful, unique, and definitely took the classic cheese curd up a notch. The space itself is beautiful. Oliver’s has this bright, window-filled atmosphere that makes it feel open, warm, and inviting. It is a great place for groups, casual get-togethers, or a pre-event stop where you want good food without feeling rushed or cramped. Overall, Oliver’s was a great choice for our family wedding meet-up. Good food, great shareable appetizers, a beautiful space, and the kind of atmosphere that makes gathering easy. I would definitely recommend it and will happily be back.”
“Heard it was a nice place. Didn't realize it was such a aesthetically pleasing dining area. Fully equipped with a wonderful outdoor seating selection as well as boche court. I had eggs benedict and the side was an arugula vinaigrette salad, nice touch. My friend had the Oliver's spinach omelette again. He had a side of arugula vinaigrette salad. He was hungry so we also split a serving of biscuits and gravy, made with a wonderful sausage meat that reminded me of a Jimmy Dean's sausage. Loved it!. Beautiful place. Beautiful interior. Large free parking. Easy to get to. I'll be back.”
“We ate at Oliver’s for a family lunch. It was easy to get seated. The service was okay, but it was very loud in the restaurant. I ordered the birria tacos and my fiancé ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The tacos were sort of flavorful but also greasy. The hot chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries were delicious.”
“Service was alright. There was a leak from the AC and water was dripping onto the table so we requested to change seats. The table was clearly wet when they seated us. They offered us to wait for another table or a seat at the bar. We opted for the bar seats as we were already waiting and there were people coming in after us. It was quite busy and packed so noise was moderate however you can still talk. We found the food decent. The chicken was quite dry. Would have appreciated more sauce on the eggs benedict as well. Based on food presentation and price, it didn’t really match. Overall, it was a decent dining experience for us.”
