“Got the opportunity to visit Chadon Beni on Mother’s Day. Chadon Beni is an absolute culinary masterpiece. Every single dish felt like a beautiful celebration of the Caribbean — rich with soul, culture, creativity, and passion. The way they deconstruct traditional Caribbean flavours while still honouring their authenticity is nothing short of amazing. It’s like each plate tells a story. Familiar flavours are elevated in such a unique and sophisticated way, yet still bring that comforting feeling of home with every bite. The balance of seasoning, freshness, texture, and presentation was incredible. You can truly taste the passion, love, intention, and artistry behind every dish. It’s not just food — it’s an experience. A perfect fusion of modern tapas-style dining with the deep, vibrant essence of Caribbean cuisine. The atmosphere was vibrant, warm and inviting, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. The staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. The only disappointment, they forgot our pineapple chow😔 but the experience made up for it.”
“A reminder of home. Dined with my best friend who is from T&T — her 2nd time eating here, my first. The atmosphere is lively with soca playing and the sing song accent of Trini folk all around. Tempura lobster tacos were the standout. Bake & shark also quite good. Texture and flavour of the coconut curry crab dumplings just right. Duck sides were our least favourite. The portions are share size and you definitely need 3 or 4 to comfortably satisfy a party of two. Space is tight, however there was a reserved party of 10 beside us so that made moving around a bit more difficult. One love.”
“Second visit and I enjoyed the visit just as much as the first time. The rum punch was tasty, wings crispy and saucy at the same time, dumplings yummy and the macaroni pie ball was deep fried to perfection 👌🏾. The music was giving soca party and had us dancing in our chairs. Only thing we weren't happy with was the shark and bake, had a little too much sauce for us but that's an easy fix asking for less sauce next time. All in all we enjoyed our time at Chadon Beni and will be back for sure!!”
“Theis place has such great energy! The music is sick, and just encourages you to have a good time. We had the wings, geera pork and crab dumplings which were all very tasty but those fries were 🤤🤤🤤 We were dove right into the food, forgot to take photos, my bad!”
“I visited Chadon Beni for dinner while in Toronto and had a pleasant experience overall. The restaurant offers both downstairs dining and an upstairs lounge, and I chose to dine downstairs. There’s also a full bar available. I started with the coconut curry crab dumplings, which were absolutely delicious. I also tried the saltfish bites and macaroni pie bites both could have benefited from more seasoning, as they felt like they were missing a layer of flavor. The service was excellent, Natasha was friendly, attentive, and very helpful throughout our visit. The restaurant played current music and had a great atmosphere and vibe.”
