We are thrilled to welcome you back for reserved wine tastings! We highly recommend reserving at least one week in advance. At Chimney Rock, we invite you to explore Cabernet Sauvignon like never before. Through our wines, we work to transform the enticing potential of the world's most exalted variety into riveting reality. And through our tours and tastings, we strive to provide immersive experiences that complement the exceptional qualities of our wines. What starts in the vineyard comes to fruition in the winery. Chimney Rock Winemaker, Elizabeth Vianna, is deeply cognizant and intimately familiar with the estate's vineyards and she fully captures the estate's unique terroir through meticulous vineyard management and careful, artistically minimal winemaking principles. This “non-interventionist” style of winemaking allows the winemaker to fully utilize that which this wonderful and unique Stags Leap soil is capable of delivering. The end result offers wines that are pristine and authentic in terms of varietal character, accompanied by a velvety taste in the mouth and astounding softness, balance, and cohesion. We hope to see you at our Stags Leap District Estate soon!
“Our visit to Chimney Rock Winery was exceptional - we toured the vineyard, enjoyed our "walking wine" from our host Gary, and had a fabulous wine pairing dinner in their Barrel Room. The wine and food were delicious! Ambiance perfect. Our host was very knowledgeable and so fun!”
“We had such an amazing experience at Chimney Rock Winery. Incredible service, wine, and hospitality from start to finish. Our host, Gary, made our day with his knowledge and generosity during the tasting. The wines are honestly some of the best in Napa. Stags Leap District is one of my favorite regions. They also served cheese and crackers with the tasting, which were delicious. Highly recommend visiting Chimney Rock Winery if you are in Napa.”
“We had the best wine tasting and private tour experience we’ve ever had! Thank you Gary Miller for the most amazing day ever! He was so thorough and knowledgeable about the whole process of wine making. I would definitely recommend going to Chimney Rock !”
“The wines were FABULOUS… but Gary was absolutely wonderful! He made the experience everything and more. Not only was he exceptionally knowledgeable about the wine making process, viticulture, history and more, he was funny , interactive and left a lasting impression (to say the least). The wines were spectacular and the golf cart ride through the vineyard was a blast. There’s only ONE rule in Gary’s cart— and it’s a good one to follow 🥳”
“Chimney Rock is our favorite winery in Napa, after having been there twice and visited both times. If you love great wine and want to have an elevated experience but in an unpretentious setting - then Chimney Rock is for you. It’s only 15 minutes from Downtown Napa and is absolutely beautiful - both inside and out. The staff are the most accommodating and down-to-earth group of people, and go above and beyond to make sure you have a stellar experience. Our reservation was with Gary this time, after he received a glowing review from our friends who had just visited a few weeks prior. Boy, were they right! Gary made our experience at the winery a 10/10, and we didn’t think it could have gotten any better than our last visit 10 years ago, when we wandered in by happy accident on our honeymoon. Gary is knowledgeable, funny, engaging, and easygoing. You could sit at the table with him for 8 hours and not get bored or antsy. His knowledge of wine is unmatched (and we visited 10 wineries this trip), and his stories of world travel and dry sense of humor will make it feel like you’re being guided through your tasting by your best buddy. Now onto the wine - absolutely amazing. No notes. The tour takes you through the vineyard and then into the building where the wine is made/stored, and it’s a truly fascinating experience. Not every winery takes you that up-close and personal. Each wine is crafted so specifically and thoughtfully. For Napa, the price of their wines is probably right in the middle — more expensive than some of the mainstream wineries, but not as cost prohibitive as some of the “elite” big names. We ended up joining the wine club, not only because we want to drink their wine in PA year-round, but we also just want to remain connected to the vineyard in any way possible! Truly cannot recommend a visit to Chimney Rock enough — you will NOT regret it!!”
