“The manor house experience was so wonderful and made this my favorite wine tasting during our trip. The history this winery has is so fascinating to learn about and the wine is just as fascinating. The drive is a bit off the beaten path but so beautiful you won’t mind the drive!”
“A truly wonderful experience at Stags’ Leap Winery. The tasting was not only enjoyable but genuinely informative, offering rich history about the property and the family behind it. The Manor House Tasting itself was excellent - thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented. Our host was knowledgeable, engaging, and struck the perfect balance between education and hospitality, making the experience feel personal rather than scripted. An exceptional visit that I would highly recommend.”
“Definitely book the porch tasting! Super relaxing and beautiful views. Passionate and knowledgeable staff made the tasting a great experience. Pours were generous and there were many of them! The dessert wine was especially a nice treat. Wines weren’t quite as good as the other wineries we visited (Balducci, Davis, Phelps, Quintessa) but nonetheless enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to make this winery a stop on your itinerary!”
“I highly recommend this tour if visiting Napa. We felt like we were taken on a historical journey. This winery has a cool history, a beautiful tour and grounds. The wine and pairings were delightful. Our host was simply amazing.”
“The wine tasting experience at Stag’s Leap was very average. There was a brief overview of the property’s history, but the guide did not really answer our questions and often said we would get to it later, without ever circling back. She seemed to know parts of what she wanted to talk about, but did not provide a complete or well rounded explanation of the winery. A lot of the focus was on the lawsuit over the name Stag’s Leap and the “man cave” where women were not allowed, and that ended up being the main takeaway rather than the wine or the winemaking process itself. I still do not understand what makes their wine stand out or how their process compares to others because that was not explained. Overall, the tasting itself was pretty average and nothing particularly memorable or impressive.”
