“UPDATE - Thanks for accepting my feedback. It may look harsh but it’s realty. I really appreciate your honest acceptance. Because of the same, I am changing my rating to 5 🌟🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. When I am in the town next time, will give a try again. The design of the bag was very nice. The food is not that great. The restaurant has 4+ ratings on Google Maps but the overall quality and taste of the food is subpar. Bring a South Indian, I found the food quality of these South Indian food. - I ordered South Indian food idli and Vada to enjoy my dinner. -Idlis - The idlis were too dry and were breaking apart without needing any effort. We can ignore the sourness due to fermentation. -Vadas- Vadas were not having any taste. I never got any feel of eating them. - Sambar - the sambar was a joke. It rather tasted like daal tadka more than sambar. Full of star anise, bay leaf and other spices which are generally not used in sambar. Please 🙏 use right ingredients to cook better sambar. - Chutney - Tomato chutney was ok not that great. The lentils were not fine ground and one can see them in big chunks. Coconut chutney was worst. It was full of garlic and no coconut in it. If you eat it, your mouth will smell full of garlic. - Side of spicy korma Curry - This curry was burning 🔥 hit which made my mouth numb and had to dump. I tried to mix with rice but still the chilli spice was too unbearable. This curry was like a paste used in the cooking. Full of powdered coconut powder in chunks not fully mixed. It was waste of money. - Turmeric Rice- The rice was ok but not that great. The rice had good amount of star anise and bay leaf. - The masala tea was very tasty 🤤. It was a?winner. Overall the food was not that great.”
“Each dish is so flavorful! We love the baingan bartha especially, but the korma is also delicious. The pani puri are a great appetizer to start!!”
“We had such a nice dinner tonight. Definitely try the masala dosa. Really blew me away! The saag paneer and green bean aloo are my absolute favorite. They go together well. The seekh (lamb) kabob was OUT OF THIS WORLD. We had a server visit often in a polite way. We felt taken care of the entire time, even from the second we arrived at the host stand. We were so excited to try the dosa and our excitement was met with equal enthusiasm and joy. We really can’t express how much we love Spice Room enough!”
“Spice Room deserves every bit of its five‑star reputation. Even with sky‑high expectations, it absolutely delivered. Our group - two Indians born and raised in India and two Americans who genuinely appreciate Indian cuisine - loved it so much we went back the very next day. The food was outstanding across the board. The Vada Pav was a personal standout for me (as someone from Mumbai, that’s saying something), and the pani puri was exceptional. Every chaat item hit the mark, and the mains were just as impressive. Even the naan stood out - soft, flavorful, and refreshingly not doughy. The space itself has a quirky charm. It appears to be a classic American diner thoughtfully transformed into an Indian restaurant, with subtle traces of the original diner aesthetic blending seamlessly with Indian artifacts and accents. It’s unexpected in the best way. If you are in Arvada (or even Denver), love Indian food - or want to discover how good it can be - Spice Room is a must‑visit.”
“I ordered rice pudding for takeout from Spice Room and was very disappointed with the quality. The pudding tasted extremely sour and seemed spoiled. What concerns me most is that my children had already eaten some of it before we realized something was wrong. Food safety should be a top priority, and serving a product that tastes spoiled is unacceptable. I hope management investigates this issue and improves quality control to ensure other customers do not have a similar experience.”
