“We went to the cute new Brookhaven location. Ate at the bar and loved the spaciousness of it. Didn’t miss a table at all! Mussels were tender and broth flavorful- though way they gave a couple slices of crusty bread to soak It all up with! My spinach ravioli was good though not amazing. My friend had the mushroom Risotto and despite there being a million ways to mess a risotto up, this one was perfectly made! My favorite part? The cocktails! The Caprese Martini? Sounded scary but was sooo good! Would order every time!”

“We had a party of 2 for dinner at 8 pm on Friday, 5/22/26. The only reservations available online were for 9 pm or later, but we were able to snag a table for 8 pm by calling. Maybe there was a cancellation. It’s really pretty inside and there’s lovely seating outside too with trees that were beautifully lit. We were at a high top where it’s not as pretty, so we’ll just have to make reservations further ahead of time to be seated in the main dining room. We split 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 1 dessert. We finished all of it. Here’s what we got: - Carciofi alla Giudea ($13): The fried artichoke hearts with the garlic aioli were so delicious. - Caprese con Burrata ($16): Good, we think it would’ve been even better with balsamic glaze. - Gnocchi con Pomodoro e Panna, add Chicken ($21 + $7 for chicken): The sauce was soo delicious. While we normally prefer our gnocchi crispy on the outside, this was so good. - Parmigiana di Melanzane ($27): Good! There was some peel left on the eggplant that was really hard and inedible, but besides that, nice flavor! The spaghetti was good too. We wished they offered chicken parm, but that wasn’t on the menu. - Gelato ($6): We got one scoop of the Hazelnut Nutella gelato and true to its name, it was very heavy on the hazelnut flavor. Very creamy and tasty though! We had a great experience here! Reasonably priced, good food. We’ll be back!”

“Nova Cocina offered a pleasant dining experience with good food and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The Mela Amore is a refreshing apple-forward drink with a light, balanced sweetness and was pretty good. The Neapolitan focaccia, soft and airy with a lightly crisp exterior, was also good and made for a solid starter. For entrées, the lasagna special featured classic layers of pasta, sauce, and cheese and was good—comforting and filling. The lasagnette alla Bolognese, made with smaller ribbon-style pasta and a rich, slow-simmered meat sauce, was also good and well-prepared. Dessert was the highlight of the meal. The brown butter pecan gelato was very good, with a deep, nutty flavor and smooth, creamy texture. The budino de pana, a silky custard-style dessert, was enjoyable and nicely balanced. I also tried the olive oil gelato, which had a savory, herbaceous profile that wasn’t my cup of tea, though it was interesting to experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Sitting in the communal section felt comfortable, and the window seating looked especially cozy with open windows and heaters. The music added to the overall vibe as well—at one point, “Remind Me” by Patricia Rushen played, which was a great touch. Overall, Nova Cocina is a solid choice for Italian comfort food with a relaxed ambiance and standout desserts.”

“Amazing food, service and atmosphere! Highly recommend! We are traveling for work and so happy we were invited to dine here. We enjoyed the veggie pizza, fried artichoke, fried eggplant, Bolognese, mushroom risotto, and the special leek ravioli. Must try their yummy gelato. We loved the olive oil and earl gray tea!! You can sample all the flavors. We had the chocolate bread pudding with straticciatella gelato for dessert. We sat inside but they have a beautiful outdoor area as well with heaters.”

“First time here. Overall experience was just OK. Checked in with hostess (after she was done socializing) then she just pointed to where the rest of our table was seated already. Cute place but got really hot on the indoor patio even though it was raining. We were a table of 8 and server informed us no separate checks so we had to sit at table and figure out our individual charges at end of meal. Dishes looked/sounded good but everyone felt their dish (flavor, taste and portions) were just OK for the price.”
