“This was our first visit to Bartletts and it did not disappoint! Our server was fantastic, he came around to check on us the entire time and he always made sure our drinks were full. For our appetizer, we ordered the spinach dip. It was probably the best I've had anywhere. It was very flavorful and it was hard to stop eating it. I also had to order their signature French dip with prime rib. It was phenomenal. I had no chewy pieces of meat, it was very juicy and the soft warm bun was chef's kiss. The shoestring fries were seasoned perfectly and the coleslaw was also delicious with their homemade dressing. As for dessert, we couldn't pass up their key lime pie. It was topped with some homemade whip cream and the crust had a hint of cinnamon in the graham cracker crust. It wasn't overly sweet or too heavy like a cheesecake. We definitely look forward to coming back again soon, because every dish was just top notch.”

“Still one of my top choices for a nice dinner in Austin at a great price point. Not cheap but not insanely expensive either. The absolute best French Dip I've ever eaten in my life. The Asian Salad is perfection in a bowl. The service is top notch, always.”

“We absolutely loved our dinner for three and were shocked we had not discovered Bartlett’s before. We enjoyed creative and delicious cocktails, we all loved the Bartlett Pear Cocktail and our second two were excellent as well! We paired these with roasted artichokes which were excellent and another signature appetizer. We told our waiter he was one of the best we had enjoyed in 24 years in Austin. We came for the prime rib for my husband but also enjoyed the aged rib eye and New York strip…both delicious. It was a delight to order wine with the sommelier who took his time and shared his knowledge. Together we shared a key lime pie enjoyed by all. We loved our seating on the balcony and while the restaurant was bustling on a Thursday evening the ambience is calibrated so it didn’t feel noisy and we could treasure our little celebration. We can’t wait to return!”

“Came here with family and friends for a dinner during the cold weather and we had a pleasant time. Service was great, very attentive and kind. The atmosphere was very nice and easy to talk in and the lights were dimmed. The food was solid. Between us we tried a number of entrees, sides, and desserts. Everything was tasty at a minimum but some dishes were better than others. Overall, a nice choice for dinner. Very cozy vibes and solid food with a pretty wide range of options. 🍽️”

“This was my first time visiting Bartlett’s, and I was genuinely excited to try it after hearing good things. We ordered steak, kids’ meals, and the French dip sandwich—food-wise, everything was fine and met expectations. Unfortunately, the service issue completely overshadowed the experience. My raspberry lemonade arrived with a fly/bug in it. When I brought it to our server, Preston, there was no acknowledgment of how unpleasant or unsanitary that was. He simply took the drink away, acted like it wasn’t a big deal, that was it— no comfort/hospitality check in. Probably mixed in the ice, but still… I wasn’t looking for a discount, a free item, or any kind of compensation. What I was expecting was basic hospitality: an apology, reassurance, or even a small gesture of accountability. The drink wasn’t even removed from the bill, which was disappointing and avoidable. Bartlett’s has the potential to be great, but moments like this are where service really matters. A little care, professionalism, and empathy would have gone a long way and completely changed how I felt leaving the restaurant.”
