“We heard about Eden online, and took a chance without reservations on a Sunday night. Eric (definitely not with a K) was awesome. I would have payed full price just to talk with him. He was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations based on our likes. The drinks were spectacular! It wasn't too busy, so we got a chance to talk with Eric about his life and we shared stories about our travels. If we are ever back in Austin from Minnesota, we will definitely be back!”
“Had a great evening at Eden Cocktail Room. Shoutout to Sophia for making some great drinks. They have their specialty cocktails and the classics as well. The entrance is down a shady alley behind 6th St and an entrance on 6th would be preferred.”
“I loved my experience at Eden Cocktail Room. I’m shocked that I’ve lived in Austin for years and I’ve been to 6th street dozens of times and never knew this place existed. The place has great ambiance and vibes. I’m a fan of speakeasies as they aren’t as packed as they are more hidden and intimate. And this place provides the perfect speakeasy experience. I enjoyed the music. The bartenders made great cocktails and the service was phenomenal. The cocktail list was robust. I would absolutely return here again.”
“Eden Cocktail Room is a great place for a relaxed night out if you care about well-made drinks and a good atmosphere. The cocktail menu feels thoughtful, and the drink I ordered was balanced and smooth—nothing overly sweet or watered down. The bartenders were friendly, knew their stuff, and gave solid recommendations based on what I like. The vibe is intimate and stylish, with lighting and music that make it easy to talk without shouting. Prices are fair for the quality. I’d definitely come back for another round.”
“We’ve done Eden Cocktail Room’s Valentine’s experience in the past and had a great time. We’ve also been on other occasions and have always enjoyed the drinks and the atmosphere, which is why we chose to return again this year for a Valentine’s surprise my husband had prepaid for. When we arrived, we were asked for a credit card, which was confusing since the experience was already paid for. My husband asked our server what the prepaid experience included and was told it came with “2 pairings,” so we reasonably assumed that meant two drinks each. At the end of the night, we were presented with an additional $80 bill. When we questioned this, the manager explained that the prepaid “pairings” were actually just small pieces of truffle chocolate meant to accompany drinks, and that the prepaid price was for the chocolate and “access” to the Valentine’s Day menu — not the drinks themselves. None of this was clearly explained upfront, and the wording of “2 pairings” is misleading. Had we understood that the $60 per person covered only chocolate and menu access, we would have made a different decision. What was meant to be a special Valentine’s surprise ended up feeling confusing and disappointing due to poor communication. Clearer explanations and transparency would go a long way.”
