“One of my absolute favorites in Baltimore City; your experience starts as you enter a uniquely decorated space- covered in plants and coziness! High ceiling - open space - big windows, yet simple decor transforms you into a different kind of county! Delicious, creative, beautiful- must try ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Amazing food and experience. Everything was phenomenal and truly an exceptional culinary experience. My favorite dishes of the night were the plantains, the crab entree and the fish! I’m excited to go again. The bartender is also so incredible. We had amazing alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. big thank you to the amazing servers and staff that made my mom’s birthday there so amazing. I’ll be back soon! 🫶🏽🙏🏾”
“The plants in this restaurant, the lighting, it’s so beautiful. Very cool decor. The rum flight was delicious! 3 to choose from. Best value on the menu. Food is on the high end cost and menu size of casual dining. There were so many good flavors but many fell flat due to other elements. The calamari plate was so tasty but the squid was so well done the squid was tough/chewy and fried served col/room temp. But excellent heat salt textures and so pretty. The fish (Spanish mackerel) was very pretty, delicate and crisp. The Cesar salad contained ABrussels sprouts and a heavy anchovy dry dressing and tasted like its ingredients. Dried fish and Brussel sprouts. The coconut foam sponge cake lime dessert dish was beautiful and scrumptious. Lime real coconut. the flan was very decadent.”
“Wonderful experience at Alma. Beautiful restaurant with beautiful dishes and plate ware. The ambiance was divine. We got tequenos, cauliflower, and hamachi. That was the best hamachi I ever had. It was sweet, tart, and salty. The yellow tail melted in my mouth. The Arroz con Chipi-Chipi reminded me of Paella. The Bienmasabe desert was tasty. It was sponge cake, coconut ice cream and chewy jellies for texture. The punch like a lady cocktail was refreshing not too sweet. Something about having it on the rocks took it over. We were well taken by our servers.”
“Worst dining experience I have had in a long time! I don't even want to waste my time on them more than I have already so keeping it short: extremely small portions, very expensive (think half sliced red snapper for $53 and a lobster tail for $42), 20% automatic gratuity, and 3% automatic kitchen appreciation fee!! Food was honestly horrible and drinks were mid at best - a dive bar could make better drinks both taste and presentation wise! After spending $250 and leaving hungry, I feel like a total idiot for trusting the reviews here. What pissed me off the most was that a specific dessert was mentioned in the regular dessert menu but apparently only available if you chose the pre fixe menu. So the people ordering à la carte aren't worthy enough for you to serve that dessert? So my overall experience can be summarized as follows: insert as many cry emojis as you like!”
