“Verandah Kitchen is easily one of my favorite spots and a place I find myself coming back to often. The food has amazing flavor with just the perfect amount of spice—every dish feels thoughtfully prepared and consistently delicious. I am gluten free- there are many options for me! The restaurant itself is quaint, clean, and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating options that create a very nice, relaxed vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind and enjoy your meal. What really stands out is the service. The staff is always incredibly kind, and the owner is regularly present, making sure everything is running perfectly and that guests are well taken care of. Some of my absolute favorite dishes are the prawns ghee roast, chicken rista, chicken malai kabab, and the shrimp taco on a corn tortilla—highly recommend trying them if you visit. Overall, Verandah Kitchen is a gem that I frequent often and would gladly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a chill atmosphere.”

“This is a perfect date night!! The wife works the kitchen and the husband front of the house. The food is incredible. We love the small plates as it we were able to try a good bit of the menu. The place is cozy so consider a reservation, but they keep bar seating for walk ins, so if you party is small just show up.”

“Update: they’ve added a host of new dishes and they are delicious. Sorry I’m not good with the names so much as the content. The cabbage, the fish, the paneer chili, and the goat were amazing!!! I should have done one at a time but I was excited. Very much with the return visit. By the way, staff are amazing as well. Okay, the place we were looking for was gone but this place was nearby. Sounded interesting so we stumbled in to find a food paradise. I do recommend the small plates because they are all so good. It’s byob, but a liquor store nearby. The ginger lemonade was amazing. Staff is courteous and efficient, prices are reasonable, we got out for less than 40 a person, not including tip. Update from Xmas 23, Still a food paradise.”

“So lovely venue, dining outside on a lovely spring day. The food is “meh” and expensive. Appropriately spiced but too deep fried and nothing unique. Also dining alone and they automatically added a 20% tip, I found that off putting. A glass of wine and one meal and I spent $60 after tip. So, a decent expensive option. But there is an Afghan place down the street that looks low budget and drab as hell but where the food approaches heaven. I would look elsewhere.”

“Had a disappointing experience here. The small plate appetizer pakodas was very good but then the main entrees were a very small potion for $24 and lacked flavor. I ordered the chicken kurma I found it dry, my friends got the paneer tikka masala and chicken tikka masala and we all felt your dishes were not a large enough portion for the price and the chicken lacked spice. Interior was welcoming.”
