“Tried to beat the summer crowds by going pre-memorial day. We arrived early but it quickly filled up. Service was prompt. Food was very good. We has yellow fin tuna and a pasta dish. Appitzers we started with wer the crab cake and pear walnut salad. Dessert was also excellent. The constant passing of hostess counting the minutes for your table replacement was a very big irritant. They wore a hole in the carpet. Similarly the bus staff were desperately looking for something to do and hovered over you waiting for the last bite to remove the plate. Overall dinner was very good. I noticed other tables had happy birthday or anniversary cards. I guess the hostess didn't think much of us. We didn't get one yet it was noted in the reservation app.”

“We went to this location for Easter dinner. The staff were lovely, the vibe was nice, and the food was ok. I would try again on another night, to see if there is a difference from the price fix menu to a regular menu.”

“Picturesque Dining in Bay Head! We had a beautiful evening at Theresa’s South in Bay Head — the temperature was in the high 70s, and the streets were buzzing with beachgoers and the mouthwatering aromas coming from this cozy gem of a restaurant. Inside, the seating was close but felt intimate, and we ended up making “dinner friends” with the tables on either side of us — it’s that kind of warm, welcoming place. Being BYOB, we enjoyed our wine while appreciating the simple, limited menu, which actually made it easier to relax and enjoy without decision fatigue. From appetizers to dessert, everything was fresh and full of flavor. The entire staff was friendly, attentive, and clearly cared about our experience. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and location. When you come to Theresa’s, don’t just expect a great meal — expect to make friends. If you’re considering outdoor seating, aim for spring or fall — summer can be a bit too warm. We’ll definitely be back!”

“The food was amazing! Many thanks to the chef and his crew in the kitchen! Love that Theresa’s South is a BYOB too. Staff were kind and welcoming. Special shoutout to the hostesses who we shared a little laugh with at the door for kicking the evening off right and the food runners who worked hard throughout the evening to ensure we received our meals hot and had the extra touches. Overall a great experience!”

“We were the first ones there on Friday night and it was perfect. The hostesses were so welcoming, the room was beautifully decorated with fresh red roses. I got the strawberry and fig salad which was so refreshing and the crab cake dinner. Can’t wait to come again and bring friends.”
