“We celebrated a Welcome Dinner for my son's wedding the next day. The food was fabulous! Everyone raved. The room was spacious and airy, AND cozy and comfortable - don't know how but it is! - and the family style service meant my guests could eat seconds of their favorite things and initiate conversation with people sitting next to them. Even my phone-addicted niece and nephew socialized after asking to pass the Pasta Bolognese. We were 60 people and the room didn't feel crowded. Olivia and the team were amazing to work with. They even boxed up some food for relatives who's plane was stuck on the tarmac at Logan Airport. Thank you everyone at Tonno for an incredible evening!”

“The reason we chose Tonno was for the cherrystones. Why have so many seafood restaurants stopped serving cherrystones? At any rate, we went just at 3pm and were seated in a perfect spot. Unbeknownst to us, 3-5pm was oyster for a buck. We took a dozen oysters and a half dozen cherrystones. They were awesome. So much so that we ordered a half dozen of each after we had finished the first servings. The menu had plenty of variety, but what grabbed my eye was the zucchini flowerets stuffed with regatta cheese and deep fried. The breading was crisp and I mean to the bite! The flowerets themselves were both firm (firm enough to hold the filling/stuffing) but also delicate and oh so tasty. The filling was spot on! The flowerets were served over stewed tomatoes—rich and flavorful, chunky, well-seasoned, and just enough to accentuate the flowerets without overpowering them Moreover, the presentation was beautiful! Zucchini flowerets are such an awesome delicacy. So rarely seen on restaurant menus and even more rarely done well. It is too bad the season for zucchini flowers is so short! Truly, I could not have been happier with my meal! Please note, although I posted that we spent more than $100, prices were very reasonable; we spent $60 on cherrystones—well worth it!”

“What a wonderful experience in downtown Glochester. Kinnery was a fantastic server with lots of menu knowledge. The vibe was cool. We sat at a bar two-top not at the bar so secluded but still part of the action. Food was amazing!! We will return.”

“I recently hosted my boyfriend’s 30th birthday party for 20+ people in The Blackburn Room at Tonno Gloucester and had such a great experience from start to finish. The planning process was incredibly easy, and the team was so accommodating, especially considering this was a somewhat last minute booking. Olivia was absolutely wonderful to work with — kind, responsive, organized, and truly made the entire process stress free. The space itself exceeded expectations. Since our group wasn’t large enough for the entire room, the restaurant thoughtfully blocked off a section to make it feel much more private for our party, which we really appreciated. The exposed brick, lighting, and overall atmosphere made the room feel both cozy and upscale. The food and drinks were fantastic. There was a great variety of options, all of the appetizers were delicious, and the pasta was especially a hit — I’d absolutely order it again. The cocktails were also excellent and everyone in our group commented on how good everything was. The service throughout the night was equally impressive. Everyone was friendly, accommodating, personable, and professional, which made the celebration feel even more special. Overall, we had an amazing experience and I would absolutely book The Blackburn Room again for a future event!”

“We were greeted with a smile and upbeat attitude and we were asked if our table was to our satisfaction. Our waiter Ezio was very knowledgeable about the menu and fully explained all the dishes we were interested in. The Shrimp appetizer he recommended was amazing! The pasta was fresh and the sausage was delicious. The risotto was cheesy and delicate with fresh asparagus. Wish we had room for dessert. Cappuccino and expresso were spot on . Give it a try!”
