Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant - Boulder is a Mexican restaurant in the Boulder neighborhood of Boulder.
“Great place for a group, rooftop is amazing but the lower level is nice too. Also good selection of vegetarian options (with some that aren't super spicy as well) and they also can accommodate celiac/gluten-free. Noise level depends on time of day and location, it is a relatively big restaurant with different sections.”
“This restaurant is a nice and pleasant place for singles, couples, and families with children. The food is good, and the service great. The atmosphere is pleasant.”
“Had such a great experience here. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and came out fast. The quesobirria quesadilla was incredible with perfectly crispy tortillas and so much flavor. The chip trio was a great starter and the churros were the perfect way to end the meal. The steak burrito was huge and packed with tender steak and fresh ingredients. Our server Wyatt was very attentive and friendly. We will absolutely be back.”
“My buddy and I stopped by the Rio this past Sunday for a little 'Sunday Funday' early happy hour drinking. The bartenders were so great and attentive. The skinny margs were the BUSINESS. I usually also get the steak quesadillas or the shrimp empanadas because they are always delicious! (Skipped the food this time because we had brunch before we came in). Just can't say enough of how great the atmosphere and service is at the Rio. Management came by and checked on us to ensure we were having a good experience even as the place started to get packed out. First class!”
“Sunday early afternoon on the rooftop was a nice experience. Not too busy and two of us were seated right away and our waiter was quick and attentive. We started with a couple of tasty Big Tex Margaritas made with Cuervo tradicional silver, orange liqueur, fresh squeezed citrus. Lunch included fresh guacamole with crispy warm chips, baked Chile Rellenos, carnitas tacos with a side of rice and black beans. The Rellenos were topped with spicy green chili sauce and were delicious. The tacos were a bit dry but better with picante sauce. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we’ll be back.”
