“Genuinely one of the best meals I've had in my 5 years in the area. Great spot for date night, we had the jamon iberico, aceitunas, zanahorias, judias verdes, patatas bravas (forgot to take a picture before we devoured the first half), pollo, Cuban sandwich, and the chocolate cremeux for dessert. Would happily eat each and every one of these dishes again, but also already looking forward to coming back to try the rest of the menu!”

“Unexpectedly excellent is the first thing that comes to mind in describing the food we had. The menu is on the smaller side relative to other tapas restaurants in the area, so I was a little uncertain if the choices would ultimately be things we liked. They execute a smaller menu exceptionally well. While some of the items were common to Spanish tapas menus, the preparation was unique and thus surprising. The service was friendly and attentive, food came quickly, and the atmosphere was pleasantly dimly lit with nice decor and a noise level conducive to conversation on a date night. Highly recommended, and highly recommend making reservations if you prefer a dining room table.”

“Proximo has a wide variety of tapas (menu often changes) and it’s hard to go wrong! We loved everything that we tried, especially the pastel (cinnamon cake), zanahorias (carrots), patatas bravas (Spanish-style potatoes), and the pato (duck breast). All the dishes tasted fresh and the flavors were clean. I was just in Spain last year, and missed their special dishes, such as the jamón iberico and patatas bravas. Their type of service, expectations, and menu items were well-explained which made our time even better. We sat at the counter and loved watching the chefs cook… highly recommend Proximo if you’re looking for good tapas.”

“We had a delicious dinner. They had a paella special that night so we put in an order right away as that always takes extra time. Honestly my favorite food was the tomato’s on bread. It was sooo delicious. I could’ve had a lot of those as my entree - definitely worth a try. Drinks were delicious. Paella and the bean appetizer were delicious. Everything tasted fresh. Staff was attentive. They were very busy but we had an early reservation and snagged a great booth. I would strongly recommend making reservations.”

“The vibe here was very good, the service was good, not overly attentive but still good. The food was good not great, wine selection was limited but adequate. All in all it was a good dining experience but nothing special enough to bring me back again, especially for the prices attached to food that didn’t do much for me.”
