“Booked XO Brasserie for my wife’s birthday dinner with a group of about 16 people. Service was outstanding. The menu is meant to be enjoyed family style, so we treated each end of the table as a separate group for the purposes of ordering. This worked quite well, as we didn’t have to pass plates from one end to the other. The wife is a dumpling fanatic so we tried several different versions with the XO Wonton being my favorite. Other menu standouts were the Wings (contender for best in town), Steak Chow Fun, Salt & Pepper Shrimp, and Garlic Green Beans. I often dread going to restaurants with large groups, but the level of service and quality of food did not suffer. All in attendance had an amazing experience, and it was the first visit for most of them. Wife and I had been a few times before and XO continues to be one of our favorite restaurants.”

“The service and ambiance was excellent! The waiter was very kind and knowledgeable, the food came out in perfectly timed intervals, and the refills were prompt and anticipated. The food was very good, the flavors were more subtle but full. The steak chow fun was the stand out of the night, but the build your own bao and XO wonton was also good. The vegetable dumplings were pan fried excellently but we didn't like the flavor as much. Overall, a great experience.”

“Great dining experience from start to finish! We got the Crab Rangoon, Mala Chicken, and Salt & Pepper Shrimp. The mocktail Crimson Spark was fresh and paired superbly with our meal. Parking was also easy. Don’t forget to ask for a voucher to scan for free parking before you leave the restaurant.”

“Great experience. We sat at the bar and ordered a variety. Great cocktails, exceptional food and service. Michael was our bartender and he was great. Ordered the xo wonton, pot stickers, ribeye egg rolls, salt & pepper shrimp, garlic blistered green beens & sticky rice. All were delicious. However what really put it over the edge was dessert.... The "midnight snack" which was fried Japanese milk bread dusted with fruity pebbles and sweet & salty miso creme cheese drizzle. Phenomenal & highly recommend!”

“As soon as I walked in, I was in awe of how stunning this place is. The vibe is modern, elegant, and bougie -- it honestly feels like a restaurant straight out of a big city. I loved being able to see into the kitchen, and the staff even brought out purse hooks for our bags -- such a thoughtful touch! The food and drinks were top tier. My favorite drink was the Chinese Awakening -- perfectly balanced and full of flavor. For appetizers, I absolutely loved the XO wontons, and my husband couldn't stop raving about the ribeye wontons. The crab rangoon was also amazing -- you could actually taste the real crab meat, not the imitation stuff! For our entrees, I had the Kung Pao shrimp, which was flavorful and beautifully presented. The people I was dining with ordered the beef chow fun, and they loved it just as much. Between the atmosphere, the service, and the quality of the food exceeded every expectation. Everything about this restaurant is top-notch. Highly recommend to anyone visiting or living in the Charleston area -- I can't wait to go back!”
