Inspired in part by old-world butcher shops, salumerias, and cafes across the globe, Lardon specializes in charcuterie and salumi, artisanal cheeses, sandwiches all made on site in a one-of-a-kind curing room. (Michelin Bib Gourmand 2022 & 2023)
“Italiano was exceptional. The charcuterie board was fantastic. Great change for once. Cannot wait to come back.”
“Food always takes 30-45 minutes to make but if you've got the time, their patio on a sunny day with a macchiato makes the wait fly by. The Italiano was excellent. All meats are dry-cured or smoked on site and it's clearly a step up in quality from most sandwich shops.”
“Given the warmer temps in November, we dined here for an early lunch and asked to sit outside which they happily obliged. We ordered a pastrami on rye which was delicious. The marbled rye was lightly toasted and had the best crunch to complement the dressing and meat. Each bite had a nice blend of all the flavors. The chips were the best chips we’ve ever had. A local Pilsner was a great addition to the dish. Some people have commented on the service and while it was quick, their pleasant nature, surroundings and delicious food makes that unnoticeable. This dining experience made me happy!”
“Dine-in service has always been great. We have also ordered the holiday charcuterie board that feeds 4-6 people the past few years and loved it, but this time was a disappointment! The little meat and cheese they gave were scraps and the rest was filler. At this price point, you're better off making your own board from the grocery store.”
“Honestly i really wanted to like this place. There were somethings that was disappointing and hard to overlook. The service was the glaring issue. From the moment me and my friend came through the doors. We couldn’t tell the difference between customers or staff. There wasn’t anything to tell us whom we should we talk to be seated. We were just standing there for awhile before being acknowledged. We didn’t know that reservations were needed. Especially since more than 50% of the tables were empty when we walked in. We eventually got a table. We ordered the Italiano and the Reuben. I thought the Italiano was made well. Though my friend felt the bread was too hard for the sandwich. I felt because of the meat it needed abit of that texture to compliment the homemade salami’s. Though I was kinda disappointed with the Reuben. They were skimpy with the pastrami. I wished the sauerkraut had a bit more kick to it. I love sauerkraut. The home made chips were good but I felt it needed a touch more salt and applied a bit sooner after being fried. It felt a bit disconnected from the chip if that makes sense. The little ramekin filled with chopped pickles were delicious it complimented the sandwiches well. Though again no one checked up on us after our food was dropped off to us. We were just waiting awhile til someone finally came to check on us. Even getting the check took along time. There no sense of urgency. I believe we were there for an hour and a half. At most it should have been 40mins i feel like.”
