“Piatello continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Fort Worth. This visit was another reminder why we keep coming back. The three of us shared several dishes, including the PEI mussels, house ricotta with sourdough bread, mafaldine cacio e pepe, and the meatballs. Every single dish was fantastic. The flavors, preparation, and presentation were outstanding. It's hard to pick a favorite because everything was absolutely delicious. What really set this visit apart was the service. We ordered a bottle of wine, tasted and approved it, but after a few minutes realized it simply wasn't to our liking. We mentioned it to our server, and manager Kaitlin stepped in immediately. She personally tasted the wine, agreed with our assessment, and graciously allowed us to select another bottle. That level of professionalism and customer care is rare these days and was greatly appreciated. We've dined at Piatello numerous times and have never had a food issue. The consistency of the kitchen, combined with exceptional hospitality, keeps us coming back. A special thank you to Kaitlin for handling a minor issue like a true rockstar. Piatello remains one of Fort Worth's best dining experiences.”

“After having had 3 amazing vacations in Italy with scrumptious food, we found Piatello's to exceed our highest expectations. The Artichoke Mezzaluna was out of this world yummy and the 3 desserts we tried were outstanding 😋. The atmosphere and management could not have been more delightful! A definite top of our list to return to.”

“Went to Piattello Italian Kitchen for a birthday dinner and overall had a really nice experience. I’d definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you’re visiting on a weekend, as the place gets busy. The ambiance and vibes are very good—perfect for a date night or celebration. Service was attentive and friendly, and they have a good selection of wines. I ordered wine, and my wife went with their lemoncello spritz, which they call the Amalfi Spritz. Both were great, but the Amalfi Spritz was outstanding—honestly one of the best I’ve ever tasted in the US, very refreshing and well balanced. We ordered the ricotta with sourdough as an appetizer. It was just fine, nothing too special on its own—felt a bit bland and needed more flavor. We asked for a side of balsamic glaze, which helped balance it out and made it more enjoyable. For mains, we ordered a sausage pizza and rigatoni alla vodka with sausage. The pizza was mediocre—I was expecting a Neapolitan-style pizza, but it wasn’t. The crust was on the dry side and didn’t really stand out. The rigatoni alla vodka was excellent. The pasta was cooked al dente, the sauce was flavorful, and the sausage was great. My only small criticism would be that I’d prefer sausage crumbles or smaller pieces for better distribution. Overall: great vibes, great service, amazing Amalfi Spritz, excellent pasta, okay pizza and appetizer. Giving 4 stars mainly because of the pasta, ambiance, drinks, and service. If I come back, it will be just for the Amalfi Spritz, the pasta, and the vibes.”

“We recently dined at Piatello and had a mixed experience. First, I want to recognize our server, Erica—she was excellent. Attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. The service was truly the best part of the meal. We also did not have reservations and were seated immediately, which we appreciated. We started with the house-made ricotta appetizer, and it was fantastic. It was fresh, flavorful, and really set high expectations for the rest of the meal. We came based on a strong recommendation—specifically for the Sunday gravy, which we were told was outstanding. Unfortunately, we learned it had just been removed from the menu, which was disappointing as that was what we had planned to order. The food had good flavor overall, but there were multiple execution and consistency issues that stood out: We ordered a lasagna bolognese and a tagliatelle bolognese, and the sauces were noticeably different. The lasagna leaned more like a marinara-based sauce, while the tagliatelle was very heavy and meat-forward. Neither had the creamy, balanced profile expected from a traditional bolognese. The tagliatelle was stuck together, which suggests it was not cooked fresh to order. The lasagna was served lukewarm instead of hot. The food came out unusually fast, which made it feel more like reheated/prepared food rather than made to order. One major issue was the “wood-fired” oven claim. We were seated directly across from the oven and could clearly see inside, and it was not wood-fired despite being labeled as such. That felt misleading and affected the overall experience. Dessert and drinks were also disappointing: The tiramisu was overly sweet, lacked strong coffee flavor, and was served with a pooling sauce that didn’t feel traditional. I ordered the limoncello because I was told it was house-made. It ended up being extremely strong and overly sweet, almost syrup-like, and needed to be chased with water. It was not smooth or balanced. Overall, the food was good in flavor, but the lack of consistency, temperature issues, and misleading presentation made it fall short. While I understand lasagna can't be cooked to order but it should have been hot. I think of you cooked your pasta and sauce to order though, this could be a much better experience.”

“The service was great and the atmosphere was wonderful but honestly the food was terrible , no flavor , my wife ordered the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo and it had a weird tang to it, the shrimp were super small and overall just not good . I ordered the sausage pizza and by far it was one of the worst pizzas I have ever had , super bland and all I could taste was arugula , the best part of the pizza was the crust . We also ordered a Caesar salad and it also had a weird flavor , it tasted like if someone had heard of Caesar salad but never had actually tasted it . The best part of the dinner was the calamari and olives”
