“Matthew was amazing! Carlos was amazing as well (he was my waiter the previous evening). Also, one of the staff members noticed that I swatted at a fly a few times, and he brought out a fly fan.”
“We had such a wonderful experience at Ocean2000 last weekend for an early Mother's Day dinner. I took my mom for a special beachfront dinner date, and the entire evening felt like something out of a movie. The restaurant is located inside Pelican Grand Beach Resort and has a beautiful open-air veranda overlooking the ocean, Adirondack seating, tropical vibes, and live music playing on the patio (think Sade and Olivia Dean energy!) We loved it. There was even a full moon rising over the water while we were finishing dinner. To start, we shared the Oysters Rockefeller, which were delicious. I ordered the Mezcal Mirage cocktail while my mom enjoyed a classic Cosmopolitan, and both were perfectly balanced and refreshing. For dinner, I had the Sea Bass special and my mom ordered the 8 oz center-cut filet — both dishes were cooked beautifully and full of flavor. We finished the night with espresso crème brûlée and coffee, which was the perfect ending to the meal. A special thank you to our server, RJ, who was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the experience feel elevated from start to finish. The energy all around felt warm, lively, and welcoming. Executive Chef Steve Mendez has created a menu inspired by his travels, and you can truly taste the distinctive Caribbean-inspired coastal flavors throughout the experience. If you’re looking for elevated coastal cuisine, fresh seafood, handcrafted cocktails, ocean views, and live music in Fort Lauderdale Beach, Ocean2000 is absolutely worth visiting. They also serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, and reservations are available on Resy. We will definitely be back!”
“It is located in Pelican Grand Beach resort, they have valet parking. I was there for a NYE dinner. We were pleasantly received by hosted and seated indoors. It was a cold night I FLL we found out later they had outdoor heaters but still enjoyed our night in our booth table. We were having a 5 course dinner everything was delicious and we ordered a bottle of white wine. They had lived entertainment, a guitar player that played over 4 hours many great songs. And a fire dancer but only on the outdoors. To start we had oyster and soup with lobster appetizers i had lam lollipops for entree I had the waygu filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus. To end we had a pannecota garnished with fresh berries. We did get our sorbet after the entree would had liked before entree. Nonetheless it was delicious with sugared ginger. This was a memorable night and enjoyed every bit of it. Things to improve serve dessert with dessert spoon.”
“Great food and atmosphere but service needs improvement. Food and atmosphere gets 5 stars. The included 22% gratuity is well intended but not always deserved; it removes the waiter's incentive to try. We were waiting a really long time for breakfast, almost an hour for eggs. Our waiter kept making promises he couldn't keep. For example, he said he'd be back in 2 minutes to take our order never came back. Another waitress took over his duties. The guy seemed to have other personality issues, like he was overly hyped up on something. He rarely made an appearance in the service area. Getting checked into the restaurant, there was also a delay despite the restaurant being at about half capacity.”
“I went in with a lot of excitement thinking I will treat myself to a wonderful coffee and lovely meal. I went to the hotel restaurant called “Ocean 2000”. My server was amazing – his name is Redford. The coffee was delicious. However, I was not impressed by the crab Benedict that I ordered. First of all it was so tiny and skinny. I’m used to crab Benedict being thick and meaty. And I was hoping for a buttery taste, but I could taste strong margarine. I feel that for a fancy hotel like this, the food should be a 10 out of 10; I give it a six out of 10. And that’s because my server redeemed the whole experience. I wasn’t impressed with the broken window where I sat - see the picture. I don’t usually give reviews like this, but I feel like they should use their funds to make this hotel and the experiences that it offers unforgettably exquisite.”
