From the first bite to the last, everything was on point. What really made the experience special was the top-notch customer service. The staff was super friendly, welcoming, and attentive. “​Loco Burro is a great local spot right in the middle of the downtown Gatlinburg action. We visited with a massive group of 21 people and were pleasantly surprised that they were able to get us seated right away. ​Group Dining Experience: ​Seating: Managing a group of 21 is no small feat, but the staff handled it well and got us in without a long wait. ​Service: Because our group was so large, the service took a little bit of time, but it was not bad at all. Most importantly, they kept our drinks full throughout the entire meal. ​Billing: Splitting the bills for a party of our size was a bit of a challenge. However, that was more on our end than theirs. The staff did their best to accommodate us. ​Atmosphere & Highlights: ​The rooftop area is definitely the standout feature here. It is a very cool spot to hang out, offering great views of the Gatlinburg strip and a fun, vibrant atmosphere. ​Final Thoughts: ​While the menu is a little pricey, it is to be expected for a prime location right on the main strip. Whether you are there for a full meal or just some drinks and chips, the setting is hard to beat. “I recently visited Loco Burro Fresh Mex Cantina in Gatlinburg, Tennessee with a large group, and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. When my food came out, there was a very long hair in it. I immediately sent it back, and to their credit, the staff did bring me a fresh plate within about 10–12 minutes. However, by the time my replacement meal arrived, most of my table had already finished eating. We still stayed so I could eat, since we were all dining together as a group. Because we were a larger party, gratuity was automatically included on the bill, which I understand. But when I received my check, I was surprised there wasn’t any adjustment or acknowledgment beyond the replacement plate, considering the situation. I’m a pretty shy person and didn’t initially speak up, but one of my friends politely asked about it on my behalf. After speaking with his manager, the server did return and provide a comp, which I appreciated. However, the way he addressed me afterward felt uncomfortable and somewhat directed at my friends, as if he was taking subtle shots or expressing frustration about the situation. It created an awkward atmosphere at the table that really wasn’t necessary. I understand mistakes happen, and I do appreciate that they corrected the food and ultimately provided a comp. But the interaction afterward could have been handled more professionally and respectfully, especially since the concern was valid. Overall, I hope the restaurant focuses more on customer service in situations like this, because the way issues are handled can matter just as much as the food itself. Here’s our server”
