“We came to Happy Monkey with a party of 10 and had an incredible experience. We decided to trust our server’s recommendations and ordered a variety of dishes, including the arroz con pollo, sushi, sizzling shrimp, and skirt steak. Everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable, making it a great place for a group dinner. What really made the night special, though, was our server, Ryan. The restaurant was extremely busy, but he handled everything with professionalism and a positive attitude. Not only did he take great care of our large table, but we also noticed him helping many other tables throughout the night. Despite how busy things were, Ryan stayed attentive, friendly, and made sure everyone had a great experience. His hard work did not go unnoticed, and he was a big reason why our night was so enjoyable. We wanted to make sure he gets the recognition he deserves. From the moment we arrived, the hostesses were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind — setting the tone for a wonderful evening. The entire staff was exceptional, with special recognition to Dylan, our server, who was professional, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful throughout the night. He truly made us feel celebrated. Elvida was just as wonderful — sweet, bubbly, always smiling, checking in on us, clearing plates, and refilling our water glasses with care. The atmosphere was fantastic — vibrant yet intimate — and even the small details stood out. Everything smelled incredible, right down to the candles and scents in the restrooms. What we ordered: We started with the Patatas Bravas and Grilled Octopus (crispy potatoes, smoked paprika, and herbs) both outstanding. My wife had the Crispy Gulf Flounder Tacos (aioli, cabbage-chili pickle), and I had the Sesame Crusted Salmon (citrus-tahini emulsion, sugar snap peas, golden shallot, toasted sunflower seeds). We shared a side of Grilled Asparagus, which paired perfectly with both entrées. Cooked to perfection, and every bite was excellent. To start the celebration, we toasted with Pierre Gimonnet NV Extra Brut Champagne — a beautiful way to begin. For cocktails, my wife enjoyed the Mezcal Lavender Negroni, and I had the Basil Jalapeño Margarita — both excellent. To finish the night, we shared the Tres Leches Cake with passion fruit sorbet, which arrived with a candle. Dylan congratulated us on our anniversary, a moment that genuinely touched us.
