“I am SO disappointed in myself. I must have walked by this spot dozens of times with my chihuahua and pre-judged it as just another Italian spot in Hoboken. Turns out it’s pasta fusion, and easily one of the best restaurants I’ve tried here. Don’t come expecting an oversized chicken parm slopped with gravy and cheese. Come if you want to actually taste what the chefs were going for. I’ve been here twice in the last two weeks, and I’ve had the “fish and chips,” spicy-ish Caesar, spicy rigatoni, cavatelli, Mexican street corn, and s’mores. Nothing on that list disappoints.”

“This place is amazing. I honestly don’t understand why it has such low ratings. It’s BYOB, though, and you do have to buy bottle water, but aside from that everything was great. The food was soooo good! The whipped ricotta with sweet peppers was a standout, and the pasta was amazing too. Even the dessert was really good! I’d definitely go back. I also love the atmosphere!”

“Overall - menu was really diverse and expensive. I was hoping to see a classic chicken parm on the menu here but it was Italian with random things dropped in and out. Best thing was the spicy rigatoni and I would pass on the gnocchi next time. $30+ for a pasta dish without and protein is too high for Hoboken.”

“I had a reservation on Valentine’s Day, so surely I knew it’d be packed. We were serviced quickly, the waiter did a great job of explaining the menu, and the appetizers came quickly. The entrees did take a very long time, which makes sense since it’s cooked fresh, but paired with the time limit to a table was not the greatest feeling. The tables are also extremely close together, so you have to squeeze into the booth and be mindful not to put your behind on the neighboring table. It was also very loud, I couldn’t hear my partner speak and felt we had to yell. Overall, food was good. This is a good spot for takeout or grabbing a bite with a friend, but it’s not a romantic setting.”

“Overall, a nice dining experience even though we felt quite rushed. The high quality of the food is fairly well documented here, which makes one wonder why just the average Google score. On food alone they could and should be scoring at a 4.5 or above. We’ll start with the food. We ordered the whipped ricotta (7.5/10, $21), pesto gnocchi (8.2/10, $32), Mexican street corn (8.3/10, $35) and olive oil cake (7.6, $14). Solid scores across the board, but also nothing necessarily spectacular. While the portions are generally small, the dishes are quite rich so it works. Immediately once our plates were cleared they wanted to get our dessert order in. We needed a second to breathe so just asked to think it over. They came back minutes later asking again, so we just went ahead and ordered the olive oil cake thinking well we’d still have five minutes before it arrived. Nope, it was at the table within 30 seconds. Not only that, our check was dropped off immediately after, barely after taking our first bite (mind you, this was 6:59p for a 6pm reservation). Another thing I see mentioned here, the lack of tap water. There is just no excuse for this and a simple money grab to sell bottled water. All in all, if they cleaned up these few silly items, they’d be better off in the long run. $132 for 2 people is pretty pricey, even considering the natural savings of being a byob (which is almost negated by that high prices). They just need to make the dining experience more relaxed and enjoyable to justify the high price tag most people would be willing to pay for quality.”
