“Went here for friends 30th birthday party. They rented out the top floor which was very nice and spacious with private bar. Food was excellent. Great night”

“Went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch/brunch. Seated right away in an upstairs dining room. Apparently the downstairs less formal area was reserved for an event. The menu is not extensive but it does have what you’d expect for lunch. Tried the highly touted French Onion Soup. It was disappointing. Lots of cheese but cheese needed more time under the broiler. Soup needed more salt and less cornstarch. We split a flatbread that was unremarkable. Excellent, attentive service. Comfortable space. Not too loud.”

“Stopped by here for a late lunch/early dinner. They have a decent selection of beers on draft for happy hour and I tried a local beer from NJ. I had the chicken sandwich, which was okay but could’ve used a bit more basil mayo. My friend had the short rib sandwich, and enjoyed it but it could’ve used some additional toppings. Reasonably priced.”

“We went to The Brass Rail in Hoboken and saw the sign outside saying Happy Hour from 3PM to 7PM. 🍻 When we sat outside, the staff set up the tables and we asked about Happy Hour. The waitress explained it was $4 beers and $5 wines sounded perfect! 🍷✨ But when the bill came, the prices were way higher than expected. 😕 When we asked again, we were suddenly told Happy Hour only applied inside at the bar, not outside at the tables. That made no sense, especially because she could have told us earlier when we specifically asked. 🤦‍♂️ In the end, they fixed the bill after we complained, which we appreciated 🙌, but this should be made clear from the start so guests don’t feel misled. ⚠️ Transparency goes a long way.”

“Came here for brunch. The weather was perfect to eat outside and people/dog watch. Ordered pernil tostadas which were really good. Only complaint is that the shredded lettuce and cheese definitely looked and tasted grocery store bagged quality. But the tostada was handmade which made it worth it. Boyfriend ordered steak and eggs. Should’ve been called salad and egg on toast with steak slices on the side because the steak was so small. Meat was good though. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict which I didn’t know meant came with the ham AND smoked salmon and it was kinda crazy to spend $8 extra for two slices of smoked salmon on top but it was pretty good overall.”
