1908bc British Chinese is a Chinese restaurant in the Hong Kong neighborhood of Hong Kong.
“My 2nd time having lunch here. Still providing authentic, tasty & unique Cantonese dim sum, soup & main dishes. Spacious & cozy environment. A hidden gem in Sheung Wan.”
“Checked out 1908BC British Chinese in Sheung Wan and caught their Buy 1 Get 1 Free baked pork chop rice deal starting 1 Dec. Two portions for $180 is unbeatable in HK. The pork chop rice is comforting and nostalgic — thick cut pork, golden cheesy top, and that classic cha chaan teng–style tomato sauce. Simple, satisfying, and even better at this price. Also tried the Lychee Mint and Lemongrass Mojito. Both refreshing, fragrant, and great with the heavier dish. Solid value, relaxed atmosphere, and a fun British‑Chinese fusion spot worth revisiting.”
“High-quality British restaurant x high-quality Chinese dim sum This restaurant in Sheung Wan is decorated in a British environment, with high-quality Chinese dim sum and steamed rice. The environment and food are all noble. Lunch includes a dim sum platter, which includes siu mai, shrimp dumplings, barbecued pork buns and vermicelli. Each dim sum is very delicate and attractive in color. The shrimp dumplings have thin skin and rich fillings. The juice overflows instantly when you bite them. The prawns are fresh and delicious. The soft skin of the barbecued pork buns wraps the sweet barbecued pork, which is sweet and salty with a rich taste. The skin of the siu mai is thin and tough, and the pork and shrimp fillings inside are very delicious. The unique flavor of the mushrooms makes the overall taste richer. The outer skin of the vermicelli is soft and smooth, and the fresh shrimp and pork in the filling are mixed with the unique flavor of the mushrooms, making the overall taste distinct. The fresh fragrance of the mushrooms and the tenderness of the chicken complement each other. The rice absorbs the essence of the mushrooms and chicken, and the grains are distinct and the taste is soft and glutinous. The chicken is steamed to retain its rich juice, and every bite is intoxicating. The salty fragrance of the preserved vegetables and the tenderness of the pork blend together, and every bite is full of rich layers. The pork is steamed, the meat is tender and the juice is abundant, making people become regular customers after trying it. The unique flavor of the preserved vegetables adds a bit of salty fragrance to the whole dish, and blends with the rice. The waiters are friendly and the environment of the restaurant is quiet and comfortable, suitable for friends or family gatherings.”
“The environment is so nice. The design is so lovely. Very delicious food and great service. We tried the dim sum lunch set. 1. Soup of the day (Silky chicken, pork and winter melon) 2. Dim sum (Prawn dumplings, Chiu Chow dumplings, broccoli, Siomai and barbecue pork bun) 3. Steamed rice (chicken and pork patty)”
“A hidden gem serving British style Chinese in the heart of Hong Kong. Good food, served in huge portions, in stylish surroundings. It is also one of the few places in Hong Kong to serve truly safe gluten free Chinese food. The aromatic duck in particular is thoroughly recommended. A little quiet at lunch time.”
