Juan Siao is a Fusion restaurant in the Johnson City neighborhood of Johnson City.
“Very interesting combination of Asian and Mexican, but the food is pretty good. The service was absolutely fantastic and everyone I interacted with was just so nice. The building is very interesting and comfortable and interesting to look at. Great views out of the windows of the downtown. Parking is extremely limited, but we got lucky. I'm not sure that I'll be back because of the parking situation but I'm glad that I got to try it out”
“Its a small place and different layout the normal but unique isn't a bad thing just plan ahead and if dining for dinner definitely book a reservation. Food was phenomenal and even though they were short staffed when we went on a Sunday everyone was working together to make sure the customer's were taken care of. Highly reccomend and will definitely be back”
“My husband and I brought our 8-month-old with us for a late lunch with Grandpa. It was great to take my father out for a nice meal in the town. It wasn't too crowded for the time of day we came, and the view was beautiful looking over downtown Johnson City. I had the ramen and It was good. Not too spicy. Had a good balance of flavor. The Mongolian beef was wonderful and I will probably get that next time. Staff was friendly and did not hover our table so we had a nice time getting to chat. I appreciate them letting me walk my baby around to look at all the beautiful art on the wall (and not get fussy) and not give us a hard time. My baby (although sleepy) enjoyed the bites of food he tried as well. Overall, great visit.”
“I have been to Juan Siao twice now and both times I have ordered the 10 vegetable fried rice and added chicken! It is SO flavorful and the serving size is massive. The restaurant has a lively and fun atmosphere. They have a great selection of cocktails with names just as fun as the environment you dine in. This is a Mexican-Asian fusion restaurant and their menu reflects that. I am excited to go back and try something off of the Mexican side…maybe a combo like the Birria Ramen! Once you finish your meal you can talk a walk through Founders Park because you will be full.”
“My bf and I had a dinner date last night, and we wanted to order some new things we’ve never tried from previous visits/take out orders, food was sub par last night, we ordered spring rolls and crispy shrimp appetizers (it had a funny overly fishy taste) so we kindly asked David our wonderful waiter if we could replace the shrimp with the loaded “nacho” fries with Birria meat on top, we got it and the fries and the rest of the toppings were good but the Birria meat tasted off. Never like complaining repeatedly but had to mention that, he also recommended this amazing salad with miso dressing which was excellent!! (Would order again) We got our entrees finally, wait was kind of long when hardly any other customers were dining at that time…….but my orange chicken seemed dry or overly crispy & fried, the rice noodles were pretty good, needed more sauce, wasn’t a fan of the side of “fried rice” which tasted like bland plain brown rice (wouldn’t order that side again) but my boyfriend’s basil steak stir fry/rice noodles were tender and amazing. Would’ve given 5 stars if the food quality was better. It was lacking from previous experiences here. Maybe they were rushing since they closed @ 9pm we thought it was 10pm, (our apologies) but we highly recommend David !!! He was patient, kind, and very welcoming with a great personality. Didn’t feel rushed by him. He took off the 2 sub par tasting appetizers which was nice and offered us dessert but we had enough lol…….overall the vibes are nice and loved the service. The kitchen could do better and be a bit quicker. Again, Ask for David ! Thanks for the hospitality, greatly appreciated !!”
