“From the moment we walked in with curtains ordaining the doorway the atmosphere and tone were set. Although we didn’t have reservations and rolled right off the soccer field we were greeted with a kind warm invitation. Next, enter Taylor B!!! This girl knocked it out of the park and elevated our experience ten fold! She has an adorable personality and her attention to detail was top notch with an effortless elegance you can’t teach. She provided recommendations for all, guided me to a delightful choice given my gluten allergy, and anticipated every need flawlessly with timed perfection. Ownership should consider a small profit split for Taylor- she was THAT good!!! The food was fresh with high quality ingredients. Flavorful yet not overcomplicated, a representation of Italian cuisine you don’t find often in the states. We will most definitely be back and you better bet we will request Taylor (and make a reservation). I have a strong feeling that gal makes everything around her better!! It’s rare to experience this level of a trifecta when dining. Atmosphere, service, and food were ALL exceptional. Well done. Your new lake friends were super impressed!”

“The Wise Guy in Kansas City is a must try if you’re looking for a clean, elevated Italian dining experience. The mozzarella sticks come out hot and crispy with that perfect cheese pull, the salad is fresh and well balanced, and the pasta dishes are rich, flavorful, and clearly made with attention to detail. Everything tasted fresh and well executed, no shortcuts. What really stands out is how consistent everything feels from the service to the presentation. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and keeps the experience smooth without being overbearing. It’s one of those spots where you can tell they take pride in what they’re doing, and it shows in every dish that hits the table. If you’re planning to check it out, I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. This place gets busy, especially during peak dinner hours and weekends, and you don’t want to miss out or be stuck waiting. “Absolutely loved this place! Perfect mix of Italian and American. Our server was fantastic on Sunday night (8:30pm), kudos to him. MUST get the 4 cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce and the cheesecake!!! Tiramisu cannoli was not it (a bit too bland and bitter). Must try!”

“This was a MUST when it comes to a night out in KC. I went on my birthday and it was just perfect. The vibe is so chill. It’s pretty dark in there so if you’re one that struggles to see be aware but it’s not so dark that you can’t see across the table. Our server was so sweet and made out time so enjoyable! Make sure to get the deviled eggs and if you love deviled eggs get 2 of them. This restaurant is a perfect shareable restaurant if that’s your vibe, my friends and i got to try so much but we all just shared and it was so perfect to try everything.. The espresso martinis were also so good. This is definitely one to put on your list for your next night out. & we went on a Wednesday and it was perfect. Also good to note that there’s not a dress code but it’s definitely somewhere it just look nice at.”

“Unique little joint, reminiscent of an old speakeasy. We went during their Happy Hour (Mon - Fri, 4-6pm) in order to sample multiple menu specials including appetizers and specialty House Pizzas. Our server, Taylor, was extremely helpful and attentive. The food was, for the most part, very satisfying. We sampled the mozzarella sticks (7/10), meatballs (8/10), parmesan french fries (8.5/10), chicken panini (5/10), and Wise Guy pizza (8.5/10). Overall, great first visit experience! We will definitely be returning.”
