Lola Pizza is a Pizza restaurant in the Uptown neighborhood of Kingston.
“We passed this restaurant and it seemed like such a lively, happy place that we came to eat here the next evening. Our food and drinks were all phenomenal, without exception: the arugula salad with lemon and parmesan was huge, clean and bright, with super-fresh, crisp spring arugula. The roasted artichokes were crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and with a squeeze of fresh lemon included on the plate, they were an explosion of flavor. The broccoli rabe was deeply garlicky and perfectly cooked. We shared the chicken parmesan with spaghetti, and it was a huge plate, with perfectly al-dente, chewy pasta and a huge pounded, breaded, flash-fried-crisp chicken breast with a generous amount of melted mozzarella on top. When we return to Kingston, this will be our first stop.”
“Insanely good pizza. We shared the Give Peas a Chance pie. The kitchen substituted kale for the arugula but pizza was still exceptional. We also had a salad with kale and grilled artichoke. Beer list was limited but well curated. NA drinks were plentiful. Beautiful bar of unfinished cherry (?). Bartender was friendly and helpful in pointing out places in the local area. I liked Kingston, but not sure I’d come back unless I stopped here.”
“I only stopped in to grab some pistachio gelato. The gelato at first tasted kind of bland, but as I kept eating I could tell the gelato was made with natural ingredients. It wasn't loaded with sugar. I could taste actual pistachio not a pistachio flavoring. I really enjoyed it. The staff was very welcoming. The decor was lovely and well thought out. next time I'm in the area I will stop for some pizza and gelato.”
“Excellent service from the moment I sat down at the bar. The cocktail, an update on a traditional cosmo, was served quickly and was a delicious start to what was to come. I ordered the calamari and the Glen Powell pizza. Turned out to be a fantastic combination. The calamari was so much better than I’ve had recently had elsewhere. It’s the kind you always hope for, fresh, varied rings and tentacles, and seemingly never frozen. The pizza arrived almost immediately after I’d finished the squid and was perfectly sized for me. The spicier tomato sauce on the Glen Powell, along with the Kalamata olives had just the right amount of flavor kick I was hoping for. Overall a wonderful culinary experience and definitely worth finding your way through the somewhat confusing entrances.”
“Loved our food, had to hold back from finishing it all so I didn't get too stuffed. The pizzas were creative and delicious, even the salted crusts. Pasta looked good but we didn't try. The artichokes were excellent. The two wines I tasted were not good, but the cocktails looked good. Cozy despite the erratic & random repetitive service...”
