Ciao! We’ve opened the doors to Met Him At A Bar and warmly invite you inside! We’re just across the street from our sister restaurant, Met Her At A Bar, and we’re thrilled to be your hip little neighborhood pasta place! We’re serving up homemade dishes from deep in the family recipe book, mixing classic cocktails with a twist, and pouring generously from our carefully curated Italian wine list. So come on by, and benvenuto in famiglia!
“We stayed locally for our honeymoon, after our Vegas wedding. Just a short walk from where we stayed, really like the safe streets and friendly vibe, the crossroads where the restaurant is was vibrant and had a great atmosphere even outside. I went for the rigatoni vodka as i saw it recommended in review, and it did not disappoint, one of the best Italian meals I've ever had! Service was really good, and the atmosphere was great. we also had cocktails, and finished with tiramisu which was light and creamy. I would highly recommend dining here, best meal I had the whole trip.”
“I had brunch here with friends over the weekend, and the food was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was lovely, and the service was top-notch. 😋✨ I had the waffletella which looked and tasted so good that the guests on the other side of the table had to order same. My friends had the black bean wrap and potatoes while my third friend had the crispy French toast”
“Opening up a restaurant in a major city must be a daunting task, a bit overwhelming and a little scary. But owning three restaurants all within walking distance and located just across the street from one other is something I’ve never seen before. “Met Him at a Bar,” “Met Her at a Bar” and “The Night We Met” are the names of the three restaurants all owned by the same couple. I chose to dine at “Met Him at a Bar” and ordered the Rigatoni Vodka, brussel sprouts, garlic bread and a pepperoni pizza. The pasta was absolutely delicious as were the other dishes. The homemade pasta coupled with the bold and flavorful sauce, was perfectly seasoned and tasted amazing. The brussel sprouts lightly drizzled with olive oil and cooked to perfection had a balsamic dressing type flavor, which was fantastic. Unlike other establishments they weren’t overly charred, greasy or salty. The pizza and the garlic bread were very tasty and had lots of flavor. However, I did find the pizza a tad bit salty but overall it was a pleasant dish. Kudos, to my server melissa she was great. Her personality, friendly demeanor and welcoming spirit was appreciated as were her suggestions of some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes. She even recommended some of her favorites. The interior decor and vibe is definitely upscale with a laid back twist. It’s the perfect place for a date night or group gathering with friends. The restaurant was very clean and the tables were large enough to accommodate several dishes. The food portions were adequate and priced accordingly. There’s also a bar serving a variety of alcoholic beverages. I would highly recommend making reservations and arriving on time. Every table was filled and remained this way until I left. Without question, this is a MUST if visiting Los Angeles. You will not be disappointed!!!! *After my meal I walked across the street to “The Night We Met” just to peek inside but ended up ordering a couple dishes. Review forthcoming!”
“Loved this place! Went for brunch on Saturday. Such awesome servers, and such amazing food. The French toast with the cinnamon brioche is truly one of the best French toasts I’ve ever had. The chicken and waffles is fantastic too! Would definitely come back”
“My wife and I are in LA for our friends’ wedding, and came upon this restaurant via google search and this has to be one of the BEST google finds ever! We had the Arancini for our appetizer… my wife is VERY particular in her arancini lol— she and I LOVED IT! For our entrees, my wife had the Vodka Rigatoni— one of the tastiest and intricate vodka sauces we’ve had! I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara (as per our server Zach’s recommendation) … OH MY GOD. 100% comparable to Italy… seriously. The in-house pastas are cooked “al-dente” (as it should be lol, not many places do) Everything was so good, we ordered a Margherita pizza to go! We hope to visit here again before we leave! 10/10 And read the story on the menu of how this place came around.. It explains the awesome name of this restaurant!”
