“We had a great experience dining at Tomatoes. Food is awesome. Service is excellent and the atmosphere welcoming. The Calamari was very good, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The Shishito Peppers were good on its own. The Roasted Beet Salad was phenomenal. Our personal favorites were Tomato Salad, Special Cod Fish, Huli Huli Salmon, Mac and Cheese, Tuna Poke with Rice and Tofu Budda Bowl. Loved the Bread Pudding with ice cream, Almond Cake and the Key Lime Pie was Cherry on top. Loved the Paloma and Javi Casa Margarita. The real highlight of the night was our wait staff Ms. Goller. She went above and beyond explaining the menu. She was professional, personable and genuinely passionate about what she does. Sincere thank you to her. Highly Recommend Tomatoes.”

“My friend and I had a delicious dinner at Tomatoes. I LOVED the roasted garlic oil with the chunks of garlic. For appetizers, we got the spicy tuna crispy rice and grilled octopus. Both were outstanding and we could’ve ordered 2 of each. Next, we got a spicy yellowtail roll and tuna roll. I like my spicy rolls chopped, but the fish was whole with just spicy mayo on the inside. I ordered a side of spicy mayo to give it more spice. Both rolls were great. For mains, I got the Poke bowl with salmon, and my friend got the mussels in red sauce. My poke bowl was great, but for the price ($30) it could’ve had way more salmon, crab, and a bigger portion. If you don’t add rice, it’s basically just a salad. Overall, it was delicious and next time I would add rice to make it more of a poke bowl. The mussels were good, but the sauce was more on the sweeter side. It was a great portion. We both got Moscow mules, which were great! Can’t wait to be back.”

“Margate offers many great places to eat, but this is by far one of my favorites. The staff are great and very attentive. If you are a fan of sushi you have your pick of an extensive menu. But if you're just looking for some great Italian food, you will not be disappointed. I had an amazing pork tenderloin that was amazingly tender and flavorful. So much to explore and enjoy from this menu.”

“Tried a new place at the shore. Tomatoes. Looked pretty encouraging on Resy. Overall it was good, maybe very good?! Service was excellent. Our waitress Chris was top notch. Ambiance was not great for us. We didn't realize this was more bar than restaurant (with live music, a huge bar, and very kid friendly). For us this ended up being a loud environment where we had to yell over the out of control kids that were moved next to us. The food was pretty good, maybe slightly unrefined but tasty. My grilled octopus was mostly very good with just one piece being a little "mushy". My baked duckling came with excellent grilled asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. The duckling itself was more like roasted chicken to me than true duck breast but I still ate all of it. The blueberry pie was very good (not Steve & Cookies great though 168). Generally the food portions were too big (I know, complaining about too much food!). I am not sure we would rush back since they have fine dining prices in a local bar setting, but we were glad we tried them!”

“Disappointing experience here. Jacklyn was a terrible server. I told her I had a gluten allergy and couldn’t have any bread. There were croutons in my salad and breaded onions on my burger. My dressing wasn’t on the side as I had requested. My meal was cold as if it was sitting for a while. I didn’t get the jam that comes with the meal. I mentioned it nicely to the Jacklyn and she shrugged and said “ok want something else?” It was way too late at that point since she didn’t come back to check on us for almost 20 minutes. Very disappointing for sure. I eat at all the restaurants in the area as I live just a few blocks away and never had this kind of service/ issues. I did share this with the manager and she apologized as I was leaving.”
