“We decided to go out to somewhere nice for my daughter’s 21st birthday and this was it! The service was superb. Eli was quick, personable and gave great advice for our decision fatigue. We splurged and got the catch of the day to share and an entree house salad. Both were so delicious and the exact right amount of food. My daughters split the Lobster and Shrimp Risotto which was heavenly. We got mini crab cakes for our appetizer and we just couldn’t decide what was the best because everything was delicious. We definitely want to go back and try the fish tacos. We are delighted with our choice. Thank you Cape Fear for making our vacation so much better!”
“The food was wonderful! very filling. I had the shrimp basket with green beans and tomatos and cole slaw. we also got a hush puppy basket for the table. Everything was fresh, fried and flavourful! The waitress was very nice and helpful. they have seating inside and outside. It was a quite restaurant and bar with good music that wasn't to loud. they even had an outdoor firepit.”
“Love the chicken Jarrett its my go to every time. My sister enjoys the fried fish or shrimp every time. She sometimes gets the fried okra for appetizer. Food has always been 10/10. Service usually pretty good. Our last visit on 2/26 we had Zach. He was fantastic the best yet 12/10. Give them a try and ask for Zach. I enjoy it so much always forget to take pictures. As you can see we had sampled dessert before I got that pic. Always so good I dive right in.”
“Absolutely delicious fried scallops and oysters. Sauces for seafood was good, but cocktail sauce could have a little more horseradish (we didnt get a chance to ask for it) Fries were good. Cole slaw was bland, but im fussy abould slaw. Hush puppies were delicious. Excellent prices and a nice atmosphere!”
“We had lunch and it was extremely tasty. Our server was great and we were pleased with the lunch portions. Lunch didn’t come with any sides though and we didn’t want to fill up with an appetizer. That meant we sat there and froze until our food arrived. Don’t know why it was so cold at 3:30 in the afternoon. The servers weren’t rushing around and the bar wasn’t busy so go figure. It was difficult to enjoy our time there even though the food was great and it’s a beautiful place to eat. I tried my wife’s shrimp & grits which were amazing. I’ve had them at other restaurants but these were the best by far! I had the smoked salmon Alfredo. The Alfredo sauce was flawless as were the mushrooms onions asparagus. The smoked salmon cake was a bit too fishy and smoky for me. I plan to try crab cakes next time(and wear a sweater). I eat fish regularly, including anchovies, so I’m not sure what went askew with the salmon cake. Desert was a blueberry crisp. My wife said it was more of a quick pie than a crisp. It had a shortcake style bottom that I felt was lacking in substance. She liked it and it was warm so… I need a crust on anything called a pie or a crisp. That’s just me. Many more items on the menu to explore and the sooner the better!”
