“A lot can change over the years, but Ayza Wine Bar just keeps getting better. I have a long history with this spot. I first visited in 2012, then returned in 2015, 2021, and finally head back last night. Watching this Midtown staple evolve since they first opened in 2007 has been a true pleasure, and this most recent visit was easily the best yet. The menu has grown tremendously over the years, and we had a fantastic time exploring a wide variety of the plates. As a wine educator and writer, what I appreciate most about Ayza is their dedicated focus on the synergy between wine and food as a cohesive experience, rather than an afterthought. The hospitality was top-tier from start to finish. We kicked off the evening with a crisp, refreshing Crémant and great conversation, followed by an excellent Sonoma Pinot Noir that paired beautifully with our dishes. I recently reviewed NYC wine bars for my blog, and Ayza is sitting right at the top of the charts. Whether you are a casual wine lover or a seasoned enthusiast, this Midtown gem is highly recommended.”

“Lovely restaurant that offers delicious chocolate martinis at happy hour prices! I enjoyed my time and will definitely be back. EDIT: Returned and the service was superb! No wait time to be seated, again. My friend and I returned on a weekday early evening. I haven't been here on the weekends but I could imagine it getting busy so make reservations. I added pictures and the food was DELICIOUS. Thank you for a wonderful experience! (Also has a heated outdoor seating option if ppl are interested).”

“I had a good experience. I started with the lemon garlic shrimp, then had the lobster ravioli, ending with the chocolate lava cake. The atmosphere is cute and sexy, making it a great spot for a date night. The presentation of the food was beautiful. The service was attentive throughout the night. The only downside is that the tables are very close together, so it can feel like you’re on a double date with the people next to you. Still, I would definitely recommend it for a cute little date night.”

“A chic and unique wine bar featuring chocolate pairing. Don't let the name fool you - there's also quite a bit to eat here... We actually came for a night cap - had the must-have chocolate martinis, hazelnut and raspberry, both were delicious. We also had a cheese platter and a fondue eith fruit, marshmallows and rice crispies. While the cocktails were stellar - the rest was rather forgettable. But it does feel like the unique combination of chocolate and wine should be enjoyed here. All in all, a very recommended place for the lovers of both wine and chocolate.”
