βVery dope spot for a date or solo experience. Bartenders were chill and tentative. Vinyl playing was up my alley. Was a Tuesday night and still rather full for 10pm. Got the 50/50 martini was perfect followed by the eavesdrop Negroni also hit the spot with some sublet tweaks to the classic with chamomile and eucalyptus notes. Also got the tuna tartare for a little snack. Great flavor tuna was fresh and had an enjoyable amount of spiceβ
βIf you go, ask for Vern. He was hands-down one of the kindest, most attentive servers weβve had constantly checking in, making sure we were comfortable, and even helping us snag a better spot inside. The whole place is a vibe: incredible music, great drinks, and a lively but intimate atmosphere. Definitely a spot Iβll return to and recommend to any friends heading to NYC.β
βSpecial shout out to chef John, Mellisa and the bartenders for such an exquisite evening. We started off with a gin martini and a Manhattan. For starters we got the kale Cesar which was delightful and the white beans and gnocchi which were out of this world amazing. For entree we split the wings and ribs. Highly recommend for a hidden gem in Brooklyn one of my new faves. And special shout outs for playing fugees on vinyl.β
βLoved this place. Vinyl music spinning, delicious bites + drinks, and a warm atmosphere thatβs perfect for easy conversation. The decor is cozy, intimate, and beautifully designed - great for catching up with a friend or enjoying a date. We had the warm olives, eggplant dip, and focaccia (all amazing), the natural wine was a 10/10, and the staff were kind + welcoming. Weβll absolutely be back. π·πΆβ
βI strolled into Eavesdrop and found a beautiful bar with great music, awesome drinks and an elegant design. Forest was my guide for my drinking experience. Here's what I had: Mr. Plum - Gin, umeshu, lemon, ginger honey. A slighty salted green plum sipper. Its not strong in any sense but you want to sip it to savor the flavor. The salinity of it makes you want to come back for more after each sip. Easy to drink, easy to finish. ππΎππΎππΎππΎ No Way Back - Cognac, Amontillado sherry, sweet vermouth, acid adjusted OJ, banana, egg white, tonka been. This one fills the mouth with fruitiness and texture. Not loud or overwhelmingly sweet, this hits the right balance for me. ππΎππΎππΎππΎ Punch Out - Sorrel is a staple in the West Indies. A mix of hibiscus πΊ ginger and other spices and fruits. Adding multiple rums with a wide array of flavor profiles is a no brainer.ππΎππΎππΎ Get Echt - This one looks like it wants to be a bramble but with sherry, Blanc vermouth and gin it becomes something else. The lemon, blackberry make it taste familiar but the secret ingredient is stonsdorfer.ππΎππΎ Technicolor Dreamsicle - In the move Blues Brothers John Candy offers the cops and "Orange Whip" I don't know what that is but this taste like it. Clementine forward with absinthe at the end this is a drink you can feel sophisticated about drinking. ππΎππΎππΎβ
