“my first time at this restaurant, and was pleasantly surprised! i’m always really sus about tapas style bc i feel like im not full but this was delicious and so filling! would recommend getting the brussels and croquetta. GIO WAS FABBBBB GREAT SERVICE!!”
“I walked in and did not have trouble finding a seat. The staff was very nice and cordial. The food was reasonably priced and fresh. Garlic cilantro fries were amazing. Super crunchy. Salmon was very good. Highly recommend. We additionally obtained the mussels as a appetizer. Great sauce. Overall. I believe my wife enjoyed her birthday dinner. Would recommend. Can't wait for my next visit.”
“This place certainly nails it. The food is truly delicious and the seafood tapas we had was the standout. Super fresh, packed with flavor, and not trying to be fancy for the sake of it. Just really good food done right. We also tried a couple of small plates and everything felt thoughtfully prepared and well seasoned. Service was a big part of why this worked. Every server we interacted with was all smiles, helpful, polite, and not pushy. You get attention without getting the sales pitch. The vibe is relaxed and cozy, with a warm atmosphere that makes you want to linger over a drink. Excellent spot for an easy, happy night out.”
“I went to Ella Social and the staff was attentive but not annoying. They were very friendly and sweet. The lunch deal with a glass of wine was perfect. I had the lemon chicken with an arugula salad to start and a side of the veggies. That’s was perfectly portioned and delicious. The vinaigrette on the salad was delicious and the veggies were perfectly seasoned. Will come back”
“Went for brunch with three of my girlfriends on Sunday, June 14th. It’s not the worst place but it's far from the best. The ambiance was nice enough. Our waitress was great! I was taken aback by the manager. Not even 5 minutes after we paid, the manager came over and said, “you have to leave; I need your table.” I was speechless. I have never been kicked out of a restaurant before. I've lived in the city for almost 5 years so I know it's not an NYC thing. My friends and I don’t look our age, so maybe he thought we were college kids, not that being young is a reason to be mistreated by a business. Either way, that was incredibly rude!! I could have given him the benefit of the doubt if the restaurant was full. But there were PLENTY of empty tables inside and outside. He could have easily put 2 of the 2-person tables together to equal the 4-seater we were at if he specifically needed a table that sat 4 - he had many empty ones to choose from. Or he simply could have waited a few more minutes for us to leave on our own accord, which I had planned to do at the end of the story I was in the middle of telling my friends when he approached our table. The food was decent. I ordered the Challah French Toast. My initial bite was great, I could taste a hint of lemon, which was refreshing - different from what I’m used to when I’ve ordered French Toast at other places. And I liked that there were three different berries to dress the plate. But as I ate more, I could taste something savory, as if it were cooked in the same pan as something that was not a part of the recipe. With so many restaurants to choose from in the city, and after being escorted out so rudely my management, I certainly don’t plan to return.”
