“Popular for a reason!! The pancakes were incredible. But all the other food was delicious and flavourful too!! I loved the egg tostada especially. Unique and punchy! Plenty of nice outdoor and indoor seating. It’s very nice without feeling fancy. Notes: I could have used more syrup w the pancake. Home fries needed a sauce. Very good value for money. Bountiful options, something for everyone. Book a reservation far in advance!!!”

“Loved loved loved this place, we had: Oaxacan cheese: delicious Milanesa: absolutely mention worthy. Easily the best thing we had. Chilaquiles: I really liked them, but I prefer green. Really good, but not s showstopper imo. Pancakes: These are a can't miss! Great vibes, nice staff. They don't have decaf coffee.”

“I saw this place on Action Bronson's show so decided to hit it up with wifey. We absolutely loved this place. We had the charred octopus, shrimp ceviche, guac & chips, and skirt steak. The ceviche was flavorful, light, refreshing with just enough bite to it. The octopus was 🤌🏼 and the bed of meat & beans it was on was amazing, bursting with flavors. The steak cooked perfectly melting in your mouth type ish. Then we got the jello of the day for dessert. You're thinking jello but yo it was a dulce de leche jello that was fire. The service was great, efficient, great with the recommendations. The restaurant was inviting and comfortable. Just an absolute great experience that I've been talking bout ever since we went. Chef Yara Herrera is a star.”

“From the moment me and friend walked in we felt like “yeah we’re about to have a good meal and good time.” Our waitress Lillian made our entire 1st time experience simply amazing. She was so personable, warm and explained the menu/drinks 👌🏾. The fried Oxacan cheese - 10/10, the roasted mushroom tacos - 10/10, himachi dish - 10/10, 3 cheese empanada 10/10, lamb dish - a little gamey for my palette, but still good 7.5/10 and the drinks -10/10. Even though it was crowded it was still comfortable - we will definitely be returning for their famous brunch and dinner again and again! Hellbender is top tier!”

“Cute local bar and restaurant in Ridgewood. It’s smart to make reservations especially for brunch and dinner times. The tables are pretty close together so keep secrets till later. The food is comforting and thoughtfully done but felt portions were on the small side. We ordered the egg tostada, shrimp tacos, and a side of potatoes to share. I loved the adorable little cow milk pitcher. It just made me smile. The servers were kind and attentive even though they were pretty slammed.”
