June opened in 2015 as Brooklyn's first natural wine bar. Featuring an extensive wine list of European vignerons with a lean towards French and progressive American winemakers curated by our wine director Allie Huggins. The dinner menu ranges from classic wine bar staples to seasonal dishes by chef Jaye Witham. Outdoor seating is available in both our garden and covered patio.
“A casual Brooklyn restaurant with cute inside and outside seating. When booking it is best to choose covered outdoor seating - they you will be in the backyard but under the roof and have great visibility of outside without leaves and random stuff falling in your food. My burger was wonderful, ricotta salad was a bit underwhelming but well seasoned and I enjoyed their selection of natural and orange wines. The service is a bit too hipsterish and engaging but we are in Brooklyn. For the area i would say it is the best restaurant for a spring/ summer date night.”
“Excellent place for different tasting of wines. Food wise is good but not extraordinary. We had their burger which was good. I will come back here again whenever I want to try different types of wines. Good atmosphere, service a bit slow.”
“I love June- the wine is great and so is the food. The service however was so terrible the last time we went that I really left a bad taste in my mouth. We sat in the back patio with my service animal and the waiter took over 45 min to take our order and had a terrible attitude. Another friend came to join and we asked another server (since ours was nowhere to be found) if we could move to the bigger table (the restaurant was empty mostly). Our waiter was pissed off when he saw and we decided to leave, he then watched how much I was going to tip him. I probably won’t be going back- the vibe was way off unfortunately”
“Really cozy intimate spot. I’d recommend just going for drinks and not eating there. We had to wait for water and utensils, and for 45+ mins for our main courses. Once received, I had to send back my food as it was cold. Once I received my dish again, I had to stand up to get utensils because they took them with the original dish. My monkfish was very salty. For $100+ per person, not nearly worth it. It was Valentine’s Day, but most tables around us were empty as we were there later. Delicious wine and vibes, but skip the food.”
“Went for new years eve prix fixe. Food was cold and service wasn't very friendly. Presentation of food pretty brutal 😬 Wine was good. Come for the extensive wine list, not dinner.”
