“Hidden gem in Chelsea! 🍜✨ This minimalist industrial-style ramen spot is easily one of my favorite ramen places in Manhattan, and everything is super affordable. The Spicy Tonkotsu was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced—the spice added a nice kick without overpowering the pork broth. The chashu was huge and melt-in-your-mouth tender. They also have a non-spicy version if you prefer! The Spicy Shrimp Ramen was another highlight. The shrimp were massive, already peeled, and incredibly fresh and juicy. The spicy broth paired so well with the natural sweetness of the shrimp. We also loved the Salmon Don, which came with salmon and lots of veggies, plus the fall-off-the-bone beef ribs with a slightly sweet glaze. The karaage was crispy, juicy, and a must-order appetizer. Don’t skip the Yuzu Lemonade—it’s refreshing, tangy, and the perfect match for a warm bowl of ramen. Definitely coming back! 🍋🍖🍗”
“Found this spot on 8th Ave and so glad I did. Small counter-style shop, feels like a Tokyo neighborhood ramen joint – casual, no fuss, just good food. Tried Spicy Karaage,Purple Sweet Potato Tempura ,Shishito Peppers & Takoyaki – solid appetizers Spicy Shrimp Ramen & Spice Tonkotsu Ramen – both had rich, flavorful broth with just the right heat. Added soft-boiled eggs – perfect. Gyu Don was tasty too Great value, friendly service, and the kind of place you’d come back to on a regular weeknight. Highly recommend!”
“Dining at Kame was a wonderful experience. Perhaps because we visited in the late afternoon, the restaurant was pleasantly quiet and uncrowded. The interior featured a simple yet stylish design, with a dark color palette, soft lighting, and a relaxing atmosphere. We started with the gyoza, which were quite different from traditional gyoza but absolutely delicious. Tonkotsu ramen broth was rich and flavorful, with a wonderful garlicky aroma. While it was slightly oily, it was still very enjoyable. The pork was exceptionally tender, and together with the bamboo shoots, created a simple yet satisfying combination. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and are already looking forward to returning to try more dishes from the menu.”
“Rich and flavorful, savory tonkotsu ramen! Creamy onsen egg! Delicious takoyaki! Wonderful matcha pana cotta! Attentive and friendly server staff. Chill vibes! Highly recommend for a chill and delicious ramen spot.”
“What an unforgettable experience! From the very moment we walked in, we were greeted with such a warm and genuine welcome that instantly made us feel at home. The service is truly top-notch—every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly, kind, and attentive. The level of hospitality here goes far beyond expectations and really sets the tone for the entire dining experience. The food was absolutely outstanding. Ribs are crazy good! The Tonkotsu ramen was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—every bite was comforting yet full of depth. It’s easily one of the best bowls of ramen we’ve had. To finish, the pudding dessert was unbelievably fluffy, silky, and bursting with flavor, a perfect sweet ending to the meal. Overall, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The combination of warm hospitality, exceptional service, and outstanding food makes this place truly special. Without a doubt, this is a 10/10 experience that we would recommend to anyone looking for not just a meal, but a memorable and heartwarming dining experience.”
