Lillie Langtry was a highly successful British actress, a renowned beauty, and socialite of the late 19th century.
“You have to try Lillie's at least once in your life. What a cool place. I have always wanted to go -- I was worried the decor hype would equal a food letdown, but nope! Everything was great. Gorgeous place. Very popular, would recommend getting a reservation in advance like we did. The space filled up quickly. Gorgeous decor -- great drinks and food menu -- service was splendid and we were in and out for lunch with plenty of time to catch our matinee show.”
“(This review is from a dining experience in Nov '25.) Had a work dinner at this location, and everything was very unique and engaging. Food was very good, and the lingering decor from Halloween was very extensive, well done, and interesting to look at. Service was pretty good, given the fact that this night the location was packed full of people. They took good care of our large party. Understand that this is a popular restaurant in NYC, so it's going to be packed with people at most dining times, tight maneuvering, and loud. It's a unique dining experience in a city full of them, and if you can book a table here I would highly recommend it.”
“It was decorated very cute. The music was good, but did NOT fit the atmosphere. This is a tea room, and that is where their strength lies. We came for brunch. I got eggs benidict, truffle fries and coffee. The hollandaise did not taste like that mix they have everywhere, but it waa a litte light on flavor. The truffle fries had lots of cheese, but were kind of dry and needed a little more truffle. My friends got the french toast and waffle. They came with mascarpone and mixed berries. They really enjoyed it. My other friend ordered a medium well, bacon, cheddar burger and got medium rare. Her mistake was not checking and sending it back, but they also put the tomato on the bottom bun. Between the tomato and the juices, the bottom bun was soggy. The pina coloda was heavy on the lime. The bathroom was dark and there was mo place for your stuff. My daughter picked this for her birthday, for the look. I think you will enjoy it if you pan for tea.”
“It’s a pretty good place to try for the atmosphere. We enjoyed what we ordered: lobster ravioli and tuna tartare ( we split the order between 2 people). The food and drinks are on the expensive side and most of the seating is high chairs which are not the most comfortable. I recommend getting a reservation, we came in Thursday 6:30 pm and it was packed.”
“The place is stunning!! My mom took me here for our Mother’s Day / Birthday dinner, the place is beautiful the atmosphere was stunning, the decor 10/10 but we waited for more than an hour for our dinner we got there at 7:08 and left at 9:30, the food was cold, they tried giving us the check even before our food was served, the waiter kept constantly forgetting about our order, he tried to give us the check before our dessert arrived, after we were rushed out of our table, we had to send food back because it was cold! The meat was burn and the lemon chicken lack flavor! The place was stunning! But the service lack a lot!”
