“This is an amazing place for a couple of drinks and snacks. I have not had an entree here but ordered the empanaditas, not the biggest fan of them as I was expecting something with a bit more of colombia influence and received the total opposite. Otherwise the drinks are amazing and the bartenders are always friendly. The ambiance and decor are my favorite.”

“I’ve lived in Brooklyn for decades and only just heard of Maite through a feature in the Colombiana cookbook. My father is from Cali, Colombia and so I’ve had my fair share of empananadas and arepas, but nothing compares to chef Ella Schmidt’s incredible creations! I’ve never had such crispy empanadas with such a thin and delectable shell. Looking forward to coming back and trying more things on the menu and chatting with the warm and knowledgeable wait staff.”

“I came for here for a New Year's Eve dinner with a group of friends and split a several plates. The care of ingredients in food and cocktails was superb especially in the duck egg arepa, which was my favorite. Though I personally questioned the server's strong backing of the caesar salad, it was delivered on the flavor palette. I enjoyed the Basque touches on South American dishes a lot. As an observer of culture and ambiance, it was fun experience for anyone who appreciates LGBTQ+ community.”
