Well-loved neighborhood Italian joint.
“Malaparte - A West Village Classic! Malaparte delivers a truly memorable dining experience. The ambiance is effortlessly cozy & romantic, perfect for a casual evening or special night out. We started with the calamari - light, perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the tuna avocado salad, which was bright, balanced, and beautifully refreshing. The burrata struck a perfect mix between being both creamy and indulgent, setting the tone for an incredible meal. The cacio e pepe was everything you want from this Roman classic: rich, peppery, and silky smooth (I’m drooling just thinking about it). We also tried a seasonal pasta special that’s no longer on the menu, but was truly exceptional and showcased the kitchen’s finesse. Great wine list, friendly and attentive service, and a vibe that makes you want to linger (the whole service team gives off super familial vibes). Can’t wait to go back!!”
“The experience at Malaparte was so good! Their pasta with pesto is incredible. Their wine selections aren’t manufactured & pair so well with the cuisine, which is all incredible, no matter what you select. The ambience is cozy and inviting, despite the time of day. Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t rave on the service, which perfectly pairs with the authentic Italian cuisine. In all, tutto buonissimo! Can’t wait to return for (as my American fiancé says) my “7th helping.””
“This whole experience was perfection. It felt like an intimate experience, with great service and great food. All staff was so attentive and attractive (added bonus). They are experts at customer service and apparently body language because before I could even say anything, they’d ask if I needed anything. They even re-lit our candle without asking. As you know, candles are very important to the atmosphere and vibe. We were able to make a reservation about an hour prior. My 2 friends and I shared 3 items that I can’t recall the actual names of (broccoli/sausage, a mushroom pasta, and grilled calamari) but finished with Tiramisu. Such a great experience.”
“Made reservations for brunch on a holiday Saturday. The neighborhood vibe and interior decorations definitely carried the awesome holiday spirit. The place wasn't as busy, noise levels on the lower end, friendly staff, and the old school exposed brick wall is what the ambiance was all about. Our order: PAPPARDELLE PORCINI ($25), FUSILLI AL PESTO ($22), and Rigatoni with butter and cheese. The pappardelle was the best dish on our table. Excellent mushroom, brilliant pasta. Service was super quick and our food arrived within 10 mins of placing our order. Will be our go to places when craving some authentic Italian food .”
“We got the pork chop and the mushroom pasta. Both were amazing! Pork chop was huge!!! Was disappointed in their funky version of the tiramisu though. It was not great. Was looking forward for a good tiramisu Service was amazing! There was a long wait time so I recommend reserving”
