Temple Bar has been brought back to life by a new ownership group that has restored and refurbished this iconic Noho cocktail lounge. David Rabin (American Bar, The Lambs Club, formerly Lotus) Sam Ross and Michael McIlroy (Attaboy) and Maneesh Goyal (Sona) joined forces to rejuvenate this beloved venue. Open from 5pm til late, 6 days per week, Temple Bar has a cocktail menu created by the Attaboy partners, and a menu of delicious light bites. Several nights per week a DJ pops up after 10pm and adds to the vibe, but keeps the volume at conversation level.
“I have to share my experience with Temple bar because they don’t get enough credit. I absolutely love this bar, the best hospitality and the most incredible tasting drinks. Giovanni at the bar is a master at his craft and every cocktail he makes is exceptional. Yaz and Olivia took great care of us and we will always come back. 100 percent must go to bar if you are in NYC”
“Had an amazing experience at Temple Bar, in large part because of Angel and Taylor’s wonderful hospitality, warmth, and some expert cocktails. The cocktail menu is thoughtful, well curated, and fun without taking itself too seriously. Excited to be back 💜”
“My friend and I walked in with no reservation. We were just hung out in the area and saw this bar nearby. I love the vibe of the place, interior and style of secret bar. No name of the bar outside only symbol of animal skeleton next to the door. The host was super nice to us, and we told her we can just sit at the bar because we didn't reserve the table. She brought us to waiting area, but we were still able to order some drinks while waiting. Drinks are fantastic, my friend who is also a bartender gave them a compliment. They did a great job with martini straight up with a twist. For my drink I had spicy flamingo, it is Tequila blanco, watermelon, lime, agave & chili salt. With good service, great drinks and sexy atmosphere, we will definitely go back and invite more friend next time.”
“This is strictly a review on space, vibe and cocktails. Temple bar is a classic cocktail bar in Soho. Dark interiors with dim lighting, its a sexy place to be in. The key with Temple Bar is arriving early to grab a seat at the bar. They do fill up fast. The cocktails were executed to perfection and I received incredible service from the bar team and bar manager Noelle. If you go on a Thursday or Saturday evening look for Simon. Tall bartender with an epic mustache. He is a young superstar who moves fast, is cordial, knowledgeable and makes some killer cocktails. I'll def be back to try some of their food offerings.”
“Wanted to have a solo date night while I was finishing up some holiday shopping. This was in walking distance. Really loved the ambience & it wasn’t crowded at all. I got there around 5:30/6 Hosts were fun & energetic Bartender looked & acted like he would rather be somewhere else- I had to keep asking to be waited on which was super annoying. I got the short rib pierogis & they were very much not worth $16, maybe $10 at best. They weren’t even hot when I got them lol The popcorn was a cute touch & it actually wasn’t stale so nice job there! Nothing worse than walking around the city & wanting water & the glass is the size of a middle finger I really enjoyed my birthday martini so I would come back just for drinks”
