Tomiño is a small town in Galicia, a region in Northwest Spain that is famous for its cuisine and is also the place where our family comes from. The three Gonzalez brothers opened Tomiño to take you to a different part of Spain that is quite different from Madrid or Barcelona. Authentic is a very played out concept, but that is what we are when it comes to staying true to our region. We have thought of every detail when it comes to showcasing Galicia and Spain. From the Tortilla de Betanzos, Pulpo á Feira, and Chuletón en Josper; to our Tarta De Santiago, Cañas de Estrella Galicia, and perfect Spanish GinTonics. Welcome to Tomiño, Welcome to Galicia. ‘Nos vemos en Tomiño, Vamos!’
“Absolutely loved this place. Everything we ate was incredible. The ribs were so tasty and had just the right amount of seasoning. The piquillo peppers could literally be a dessert. Highly recommend this place! Some absolutely phenomenal Spanish food. Lots of ham dishes though we saved those for next time.”
“We celebrated an early Father's Day and had an outstanding meal. For the appetizers the four of us shared the croquettes, pan con tomate, scallop, chorizo piquillo pepper stuffed with cod and octopus tapas all were excellent. For the main dish we all shared a rice dish with monkfish and lobster it was phenomenal. Service was professional and efficient. The place was very busy and they had a really nice wine display. Overall a really great experience!”
“Everything was delicious, fresh and full of flavor. Lunch for two. Celebrating a birthday. We ate: croquetas de jamón, lamb chops, vegetables with egg, Piquillos Rellenos de Bacalao, Cigalas a la Plancha Langoustines and the bread-great for dipping! We also had tasty palomas made with reposado. The service was attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to return and try more items on this menu. With tip under $150.”
“So happy I finally found an authentic tapas restaurant in nyc. BEST PAN CON TOMATE. Amazing squid ink rice. The wine selection is affordable (comparably) and exquisite. The staff is top notch. Will recommend to everyone looking for delicious food”
“Very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere, and all of the staff were friendly and attentive. The two of us ordered the potato omelet, octopus appetizer, seafood platter, and lobster soup. The seafood platter was a bit smaller than expected in portion size, but the lobster soup was absolutely the highlight of the meal — definitely the best dish we tried. Overall, we had a great experience.”
