“I come here often. People are very nice! Food is great. Very clean and cozy. You feel like you took a time capsule to another dimension. Lake life is great and carefree and The Windless is exceptional! Whether I boat in or take my car, I feel fantastic when I’m here. We had the pleasure of having Joe S. be our Waiter. “Had an awesome meal at The Windlass on Lake Hopatcong. We started with the lobster bisque, which was rich, creamy, and full of lobster flavor—definitely a great way to kick off the meal. For pizzas we tried the buffalo chicken and the hot honey pepperoni. Both were excellent, but the hot honey pepperoni really stood out. The sweet heat from the honey with the crispy pepperoni was the perfect balance. The buffalo chicken pizza was also packed with flavor with just the right amount of spice. The real star of the table though was the lobster roll—easily one of the biggest I’ve ever seen. It was absolutely overflowing with fresh lobster and served on a perfectly toasted roll. If you’re a lobster fan, this is definitely the dish to order. Great food, generous portions, and the atmosphere right on Lake Hopatcong makes the whole experience even better. Definitely worth the visit.”

“We love it at The Windlass! Although it's doesn't have the atmosphere other restaurants in the lake have, we love the food, the people and the drinks. My personal favorites are the pizza, Chicken Parmesan with vodka sauce and the Berry Cosmo. We love Nancy and Frank, at the bar, and rarely sit at a table. We love coming here to change up our dining experience and highly recommend you considering the experience! It's great off season and even better in season! Enjoy!”

“The location was what first drew me and my family here—the beautiful lakefront view is absolutely stunning. Dining outdoors was a highlight of our visit. We booked a brunch reservation online, which was incredibly easy, and we were seated right away. There’s also plenty of parking, which made everything even more convenient. Despite the restaurant being quite busy both inside and outside (there was a private event happening indoors), the service was still excellent. We felt well taken care of the entire time. When the food arrived, everything tasted wonderful and was clearly well prepared.”
