Named one of New Jersey’s Top 40 Restaurants, Verana is led by Chef Giuseppe Agostino, formerly of Del Posto, and brings an elevated yet approachable Italian dining experience to Bergen County. From the moment we sat down, the warm homemade bread set the tone for an incredible meal. Every dish was beautifully prepared, and the pasta was perfectly executed. Of course, I had to try the viral Chicken Parm, and it absolutely lived up to the hype—crispy, flavorful, and generously portioned. The service and attention to detail made the entire experience feel special. Be sure to check out their happy hour as well, which is a great way to enjoy some of their offerings in a more casual setting. Verana is a standout addition to Bergen County’s dining scene and is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for exceptional Italian cuisine.”

The oysters were impeccably fresh, offering a clean, briny flavor that set the tone for the meal. The Caesar salad stood out as one of the best I’ve ever had, with a flawless balance of crispness and dressing. “It was Saturday night for us to visit Verana. Party of 6, we made a reservation month before. Great experience. Food was delicious. We got halibut and duck for main course. Pear and endive salad for start. For dessert we got layered cake( like napoleon). Service was great.”

My steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, and the pasta was easily one of the best I've ever had. Oh, and don't miss out on the cocktails! We ordered the ‘Vagabondo’ and the ‘Espresso Martini,’ and both were absolutely delicious. Truly a place I want to revisit on a special day.”
