“New location is really cool, the fusion food is surprisingly tasty. The chili oil fries are nice and spicy, the samosa chaat pizza was solid too. Great service, staff is really kind and accommodating.”
“We tried different appetizer and they were delicious! Their drinks were also pretty good but my oh my did they have many games!! They even have a “game expert” where you’d tell them what you’re searching for and they’ll help you or pick a game for you. Probably more fun with a bigger group because the main floor has huge tables for that specifically. Over all would definitely recommend and go again”
“On 01/07/2026, we decided to revisit the Queen & Rook for a quick bite. We were in the mood for pizza, and since I had tried every pie on the menu except for the fall veggie, we decided to give it a try. The fall veggie pizza comes with oyster mushrooms, roasted red peppers, red onion, spinach, and garlic housemade marinara with your choice of vegan or regular mozzarella. We opted to add vegan sausage crumbles to take it up a notch. For drinks, we chose a pot of "Computer Eyes" hot tea, which had a cute name that aligned with the restaurant's theme. The tea was made with lavender, Elderberry, peppermint, and honey, and it was absolutely excellent. It was a very relaxing tea that we enjoyed together. We also shared a turmeric golden milk latte with oat milk and honey, which was perfectly done - smooth, silky, a little bit peppery, and creamy. It was the perfect choice to warm our souls on a chilly night. The pizza itself was done perfectly, with a nice crispy crust on the underside and loaded with toppings. The vegan cheese was oozing and delicious. Not stopping there, we decided to indulge in a warm brookie with vegan vanilla cream for dessert. Our server, Riley, was excellent - very accommodating and ever present. It is safe to say that we love this place and can't get enough of it. 11/10/2025 Back at Queen and Rook, one of my favorite places, I find myself in love with this establishment all over again. The atmosphere exudes warmth and invitation, with the staff always ready to greet you with a smile. What I appreciate most about them is their imperfection - it adds to the charm and genuineness of the place. Their food consistently delights my taste buds, and their willingness to accommodate any dietary needs is a welcomed gesture. Visitors to Queen and Rook come here to relax and enjoy good food, surrounded by friends and family. The extensive collection of over 2500 board games provides hours of entertainment, catering to a wide range of preferences. Additionally, the arcade in the basement takes patrons on a nostalgic trip back to the 80s and 90s with its selection of great games. For me, Queen and Rook holds a special place in my heart. I've frequented this spot numerous times this summer, and the anticipation of my next visit already warms my heart.”
“We had a wonderful evening here. The shelves are overflowing with great games - so much to take in! My daughter is vegan so the menu is perfect for her - with many great pub-grub plant-based options. The wait staff is friendly and they have encyclopedic gaming knowledge. Next time we will hit the vintage arcade game section.”
“Love a solid board game meet-up place with a bar menu! They charge a fee for renting/playing their stock of games spread across three floors. There's a cool arcade in the basement. Please be aware that they don't serve meat—all vegetarian and vegan options. The pizza was surprisingly great and the spinach artichoke and vegan burger was ok. The ambiance is cozy and I dig the old tavern vibe. Knocked a star off for the service. Not sure if it's the staffing but there was only one waiter at the time of our visit and it was busy! My burger came way too late that my party finished their food before I started. We should've asked for garlic and red pepper flakes for the at the time of ordering but it was delivered late and the pizza was almost gone. I'd return to play games but yield to ordering unless you don't mind the long wait.”
